Background:

Hailed from Houston, Texas, Kyle Searles was signed to The Campbell Agency at age 14 in 1999 and subsequently sharpened his craft at the Dallas Young Actors Studio. After appearing in local stage productions, he made his first appearance on television in 2001 as a contestant in the Survivor-like reality show “Moolah Beach.”

Searles then moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and began receiving roles on a number of television programs. He has guest starred in “Dawson's Creek,” “Desperate Housewives,” "American Dreams," "Malcolm in the Middle," "George Lopez," and “Veronica Mars.” He played Shane Mewson in "Skater Boys" (2005), Logan Rhode in "Swingtown" (2007), and most famously as Mac (2004-2007) in "7th Heaven." He also played Jake Kessler (2007) in the N teen drama series "South of Nowhere."

On a more personal front, the 5' 9" TV actor once dated Summer Borden of “Moolah Beach” and now reportedly dating “American Dreams”' leading lady Brittany Snow.

Kyle Evan

Childhood and Family:

Born in Houston, Texas on June 24, 1985, Kyle Evan Searles was raised in the suburbs of Dallas, where he pursued everything normal for a young boy: soccer, baseball, football, and school. Kyle is a born-again Christian. He has a younger brother, Tyler, who is also an actor. He attended high school in Frisco, Texas, and graduated in 2003 through Internet Homeschool program with a 4.0. He also studied acting at the Dallas Young Actors Studio.

Young Kyle likes to watch “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Batman,” “Wayne's World,” “Ace Ventura,” and “Pet Detective.” Now while he continues to pursue acting opportunities, Kyle also enjoys writing (from song lyrics to screenplays), playing guitar, playing volleyball at the beach, basketball and paintball. His best friend is actor Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Martin on “7th Heaven.”

Moolah Beach

Career:

During his summer break between 8th and 9th grade, Kyle Searles decided to fully commit to acting. With the help of his mother, he met and signed with The Campbell agency in Dallas, in November 1999. Soon afterwards, the aspiring actor began his serious training at the Dallas Young Actors Studio and participated in numerous auditions.

Kyle's efforts proved to be fruitful in 2001 when he booked many more jobs in Dallas with his most notable booking for a teen reality show called “Moolah Beach,” a reality show on Fox Kids/Fox Family (now ABC Family) in the vein of “Survivor,” but with teenagers competing in competitions in order to not be exiled from the beach and ultimately win $25,000. In the show, Kyle was part of the Final two teams (Purple and Green), but lost to the Purple Team.

In June, 2002, Kyle moved to Los Angeles. And two months later, he had booked two national commercials, followed by guest star appearances in a 2003 episode of the NBC serial dramedy "American Dreams" and Fox critically-acclaimed sitcom starring Frankie Muniz, "Malcolm in the Middle," as well as in two episodes of the WB primetime teen drama "Dawson's Creek." Kyle is also known for being the original John Rowland, the first gardener on the hit ABC soap opera “Desperate Housewives,” in which he had an affair with Eva Longoria's Gaby Solis. He is only credited in the unaired pilot episode and was later replaced by Jesse Metcalfe.

Kyle scored his first big break in 2004 when he snagged the recurring role of Mac, in the WB/CW family drama series "7th Heaven," in which he stayed until 2007. Menawhile, he was spotted as a guest in two 2004 episodes of ABC sitcom "George Lopez" and in a March 2005 episode of UPN/the CW's critically-acclaimed teen drama/mystery neo-noir series starring, Kristen Bell, "Veronica Mars." He also played Shane Mewson in "Skater Boys" (2005), an oriented spin-off of the skater-punk movie "Grind" starring Adam Brody.

After his contract with "7th Heaven" ended in 2007, Kyle joined the cast member of the CBS drama series "Swingtown" (2007), starring Jack Davenport and Molly Parker, and appeared in the made-for-television movie about the bird flu virus that spreads through Los Angeles, "Pandemic" (2007), alongside Tiffani Thiessen, Vincent Spano, Faye Dunaway, and Eric Roberts.

Also in that year, Kyle appeared in the pilot episode of the HBO drama series "Tell Me You Love Me" and played Jake Kessler in the N teen drama series "South of Nowhere."
