Kristy Hinze is an Australia model, actress and television host. She has appeared in “Sports Illustrated” and “Victoria's Secret” as well as on the cover of “Australian Vogue” and “British Cosmopolitan.” Her film credits include “Boys and Girls (2000), “The Look” (2003), “The Extra” (2005) and “Perfect Stranger” (2007). She hosted “Project Runaway Australia” from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, Hinze was nominated for an Astra Award for Favorite Female Personality.

Hinze has one daughter with her American billionaire husband, Jim Clark.

Kristy Hinze was born on October 16, 1979, in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. She was raised on a horse and cattle ranch in Beaudesert, Australia. She is the granddaughter of Russel Hinze, the late National Party Minister, and the sister of Guy Hinze. She began her modeling career at age 14.

On March 22, 2009, Kristy married American entrepreneur and computer scientist James H. Clark, who is 35 year her senior. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in September 2011. Commenting about her husband, she said, “To me, it was different to hang out with someone with something to say that was so interesting and important and who was truly, incredibly intelligent. He's handsome and has so much charisma- and he's so funny.”

In 1994, when she was only 14 year old, Kristy Hinze appeared in the Australian edition of “Vogue.” In addition to becoming the youngest person to ever attain this, she was also the first Australian native to do so. She was soon signed to Vivien's Model Management, one of the most prestigious modeling agencies in Australia. She later signed to Elite Model Management in New York and Los Angeles.

Hinze moved to New York City in 1999, and by February 2000, she had appeared on the “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.” Later that same year, she made her big screen debut in “Boys and Girls (2000), starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and directed by Robert Iscove. Fellow supermodels Renate Verdaam, Kylie Bax, and Ines Rivero also appeared in the film.

Still in 2000, Hinze did some work for “Victoria's Secret” and appeared in “Maxim” in November 2000. In 2001, she had a small part in Adam Rifkin's comedy/drama film “Without Charlie,” starring Judy Greer and Joshua Malina. In October 2002, she graced the cover of the British edition of “Cosmopolitan.”

Hinze returned to feature films with “The Look” (2003), a comedy/drama film directed by David Sigal and starring Carrie Southworth, Andersen Gabrych and Neal Dodson. There she portrayed the role of Elaine. It was followed by a supporting role the Australiancomedy film “The Extra” (2005), which was helmed by Kevin Carlin. In 2007, she was cast as Carol Whittier in the Hollywood film “Perfect Stranger,” starring Halle Berry, Bruce Willis and Giovanni Ribisi.

In 2008, Hinze appeared on the tenth season of “America's Next Top Model”. She also appeared on the cover and did a fashion spread for “Vogue” Australia in 2008.

Between 2008 and 2009, Hinze hosted and served as head judge on “Project Runaway Australia” during the first and second season. She was replaced by Megan Gale for the show's third season.
