Another World

Career:

Certified in four kinds of stage combat, Kim Rhodes made her first public appearance in a 1990 arcade fighting game by Atari Games, Pit-Fighter, as Heavy Metal, one of the unplayable opponents. Six years later in 1996, at age 27, she landed her big break in NBC long-running, Daytime Emmy-winning soap opera “Another World,” as Cynthia 'Cindy' Brooke Harrison. She played the character until 1999 and received a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Favorite New Couple, which she shared with co-star Mark Pinter. For Rhodes' first “Another World” fan club luncheon, she rewrote the lyrics for “All For the Best” from Godspell.

Rhodes later reprised her “Another World” role on CBS long-running daytime soap opera “As the World Turns” from 2000-2001.

Meanwhile, Rhodes was spotted as a guest in an episode of American Movie Classics channel's drama series “The Lot,” CBS crime action/adventure show “Martial Law,” UPN sci-fi series “Star Trek: Voyager,” short-lived NBC sitcom “Stark Raving Mad,” NBC comedy “One World,” Fox Emmy-nominated dark-comedy sitcom “Titus” and Sci Fi Channel's “The Invisible Man.” She also appeared in the thriller video “In Pursuit” (2001), starring Daniel Baldwin, Claudia Schiffer and Coolio, and in the video game “Star Trek: Away Team” (2001), an isometric turn-based tactics game set in the fictional universe of Star Trek.

She could be seen in CBS sitcom “Becker,” CBS fantasy drama “Touched by an Angel,” Lifetime medical drama “Strong Medicine,” NBC action/drama series “Boomtown,” CBS FBI drama “Without a Trace” and CBS popular, Emmy-winning cop drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” She also made her big screen debut with a bit part as an office staff in Joe Roth-directed comedy “Christmas with the Kranks” (2004), based on the 2001 novella “Skipping Christmas” by John Grisham. It stars Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan Aykroyd, Felicity Huffman and Erik Per Sullivan.

In 2005, Rhodes came to the spotlight again, this time as Carey Martin, a headline lounge singer at the Tipton Hotel as well as the single mother of identical twins Zack and Cody (played by Dylan and Cole Sprouse), on Disney Channel's original series “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.” She remained with the show until it ended after three seasons on September 1, 2008. Rhodes also appeared as special guest star on several episodes of  “The Suite Life on Deck,” in which she reprised her role as Carey Martin.

After “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” ended, Rhodes appeared in films like “Desertion” (2008), “Cyrus” (2010), “Atlas Shrugged II: The Strike” (2012) and “Ru” (2013) and a series of short films including “Relish” (2009), “The Death of Toys” (2010), “November 1st” (2011) and “Unfiltered” (2012).
