SummaryLittle Film with Big Appeal
Content
I saw this little movie by accident in 1991 at the dollar theater. I thought I would be in for the most awful two hours of my life but I absolutely loved it.
Over and over, this film brought out the little things that happen when a big Texas family comes together; those things you can't put your finger on but know immediately when you see it.
Great performances from the whole cast--everyone nailed the often-mocked-but-hard-to-get-it-right Texas drawl.
So glad this finally came out on DVD. I'll watch it whenever I get homesick.

SummaryMore fun than a barrel of monkeys!

A good plot with loveable characters. The kitchen scene with "Harmony" Judge Reinhold & "Marlene" Patrika Darbo kept me in stiches for days!

SummaryFamily Ties are Stronger than Anything
Content
If you believe that a close family is important, then you will like this movie. All of the siblings in this movie come together in their childhood home because their father is dying. They all have their ups and downs, and there are many disagreements. Despite all of the sibling rivalries in the end their love for each other wins out. Anyone who watches this will be able to identify with a lot of the situations in this movie, which will make it that much more memorable. This is one movie that is worth getting

SummaryMade in Texas
Content
If you were raised in Texas, you will really be able to appreciate this film. And if you come from a large family, these characters will look awfully familiar. This is one of my favorite films.

SummaryClever and Original
Content
This is an extremely funny movie. The 3 southern sisters are very realistic southern characters. Beau Bridges and Beverly D'Angelo are particularly brilliant.
