Page 3 Girl

First came to fame as a Page 3 girl on The Sun, British beauty Keeley Hazell has embarked on a career as a glamour model and then an actress. She is known for playing roles on “ Venus & the Sun” (2010), “Like Crazy” (2011), “St George's Day” (2012), “Awful Nice” (2013) and “The Beauty Inside” (2012, TV Mini-Series). The dark brown haired has appeared on the covers of Nuts, FHM and Zoo. Hazell was ranked No. 2 on FHM's “100 Sexiest Woman” in 2006 and in 2007, No. 3 on 2008, and No. 5 in 2009 and 2010.

Hazell has shown her support to environment through her campaigns in The Sun by giving tips such as turning lights off during the day. For her efforts, she was named “environmental hero” by Conservative leader David Cameron in December 2006. Hazell also has supported a major breast cancer awareness campaign for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, PETA, and other charitable work.

On a more personal note, Hazell was on the news in January 2006 when ex-Chelsea F.C. Footballer Joe Cole was beaten up at a party held at her home in Grove Park. In March, she denied rumors surrounding the incident in The Sun.

Childhood and Family:

Keeley Rebecca M. Hazell was born on September 18, 1986, in Lewisham, London, England, UK, to a window fitter (Roy) and a dinner lady (Amber). She was raised in Grove Park, and enrolled at the Ravensbourne School in Bromley. Her parents divorced when she was 13 years old. Three years later, she quit school to work as a hairdresser. She later returned to school and attended Lewisham College, where she studied fashion.

Like Crazy

While working as a hairdresser, Keeley Hazell was persuaded by her colleagues to try her hands at modeling. At 17, she competed in and eventually won The Daily Star's “Search for a Beach Babe” competition. Her next luck came when Hazell became the winner of The Sun's Page 3 Idol competition in December 2004. She then signed one-year exclusive glamour modeling contract with The Sun as  part of the prize.

Hazell appeared regularly in men's magazines such as Zoo and Nuts. She was the cover of The Sun's Page 3 calenders in 2006 and 2007, and also fronted her own wall calenders. In 2008, she co-founded a modeling agency, Muse Management, with agent Ginny Mettrick. In August 2009, Loaded magazine reported that Hazell has quit modeling to focus on her acting career and was in America getting some lessons. She made her last appearance on The Sun's Page 3 on September 30, 2009.

Hazell made her acting debut in the British award wining comedy/drama “Cashback” (2006), which was written and directed by Sean Ellis and starred Sean Biggerstaff, Emilia Fox and Michelle Ryan. In 2007 and 2008, she appeared on the small screen to present “Byte Me TV,” an online program that tried to explain technology in an easy-to-understand way, with IT expert Gary Schwartz. She stayed on television by appearing in the BBC Three documentary “Page Three Teens” (2008). After leaving modeling, Hazell had her first lead role in the short film “Venus and the Sun,” a 2010 comedic retelling of Ovid's myth, Venus and Adonis. She went on to play Sabrina in the American drama film “Like Crazy” (2011), opposite  Felicity Jones, Anton Yelchin and Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsty in the British comedy film “How to Stop Being a Loser” (2011), starring Simon Phillips, Craig Conway and Gemma Atkinson, and Amy in the short film “Queen of Hearts” (2011).

In 2012, Hazell made her comeback to modeling and was featured on the front cover of the July issue of FHM. She continued acting in the films “St George's Day” (2012), a British crime/thriller starring Charles Dance, Sean Pertwee and Vincent Regan, and “My Funny Valentine” (2012), an independent film directed and written by John Bevilacqua. The same year, she portrayed Alex #26 on the TV miniseries “The Beauty Inside.”

In 2013, Hazell co-starred with Christopher Meloni and Laura Ramsey in the American comedy film “Awful Nice,”  which was directed and co-written by Todd Sklar. Besides, she made a guest appearance as Brook in an episode of TV Land's “Happily Divorced” called “For Better or For Worse,”  which aired on February 13, 2013.

Hazell will star as Catherine Caldwell in the upcoming American thriller film “ Whispers,” opposite Craig Rees and Barbara Nedeljakova.
