 | I'll admit that I am not one for love stories. I watched this because of Keanu Reeves. I was untouched by Sara's and Nelson's (Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves) romantic interlude.
Sara's and Nelson's relationship starts off with them being at odds with each other and then it,eventually, develops into one of friendship and love. Charlize's character is that of a dying woman who is trying to live the last of her days by developing a relationship with a man a month and then sending them on their way. She does not want Nelson to be a part of her dying because she wants him to remember their relationship( and her) as one that was beautiful and happy. I did not find that to be touching. I saw it as an act of selfishness and unbelievable. Keanu Reeves' character ( Nelson) was one of a high strung, uptight, money making executive who later adapts the unconventional, bohemian lifestyle of Sara's out of love for her. I found Reeves to be out of his element as an actor, and his performance as a romantic fell flat. In her efforts to portray a free-spirited, uninhibited, happy-go-lucky person,Theron comes across as silly and extremely irritating. Her character is unbelievable as she gives Nelson's expensive clothes to a homeless guy and gives Nelson less expensive casual duds that belong to her gay friend. In my opinion, I feel that Reeves and Theron both did a poor job of portraying their characters, and I simple disliked the movie. I gave the movie 2 stars, only, because I find Keanu Reeves to be very handsome, and I enjoy looking at him. There was nothing else about this movie that I liked. It was difficult to get through. |

 | No one can act like Keanu Reeves. His face is full of expression and he's always convincing in his work. Actors like Anthony Hopkins only dream of having the amount of talent Keanu has. In Sweet November, he was so honest and real as Nelson. His radiant performance distracts us from Charlize Theron's awful acting. Keanu rocks! |

 | Sweet November has been the best romantic movie I have seen yet. Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves play the perfect roles and can make your heart melt. This movie is worth it. I have watched this movie so many times and it still leaves me crying. If you love romantic movies this movie is perfect for you. The chemistry in this movie is amazing. Watch this movie believe me you'll love it. |

 | I enjoyed the sharp contrast between the characters of Nelson (played by Keanu Reeves) and Sarah (played by Charlize Theron). I'm a big fan of Keanu Reeves and watched this movie after seeing him in "Something's Gotta Give". I just had to see him in a romantic role.
Some of my favorite scenes in the movie occur when Sarah and Nelson first meet. She spends the first half of the movie pursuing him and he spends the last half pursing her. At first, Reeves' character seems very unlikeable -- almost wooden. As the movie progresses, Sarah's magic seems to wake up the workaholic from a deep sleep.
There is a scene where Sarah and Nelson stand in the rain. It reminded me of the fight scenes from the Matrix Revolutions.
In the DVD version when he is interviewed, Keanu states something to the affect that he is Nelson, and that he has met plenty of Sarah's in his life but they never called him back. Something else to watch -- Keanu loves motorcyles, and Nelson's office at the ad agency is decorated with photos of motorcycles. I wonder if he had any say in the decor...
Overall, I enjoyed the movie but it is not my favorite. There could have been more chemistry between the characters. I was a little shocked to see one of the characters in a dress but it works. I won't spoil the plot but this movie will make you cry...and also wonder why we can't enjoy life as much as Sarah. |

 | Keanu Reeves, and Charlize Theron, Jason Isaacs, in a story about love, death, and re-building ones life based on different priorities... about building them instead on romance. Charlize meets Keanu, a high strung Advertising Executive, and decides to change him for the best. I recommend this movie to lovers everywhere. |
