Hawaiian born actress Katija Pevec is perhaps best recognized as Christina Beardsley in Raja Gosnell's remake of “Yours, Mine and Ours” (2005). She shared a Young Artist nomination for her performance in the 2004 teen film “Sleepover” and other films she has acted in include “Art School Confidential” (2006), “Eagle Eye” (2008) and “Life Is Hot in Cracktown” (2009). On television, Pevec portrayed Lauren Zelmer on the Nickelodeon show “Just for Kicks” (2006) and has guest starred in such series as “Cracking Up” and “Without a Trace.” In 2009, she played Jenny in the television series “Three Rivers.”

Career:

Katija Pevec made her major acting debut in 2003 when she landed the lead role of Andrea Framm in the direct to video “Air Bud: Spikes Back,” the fifth film in the “Air Bud” franchise. She went on to portray Molly in the 2004 teen movie “Sleepover,” which was directed by Joe Nussbaum and starred Alexa Vega and Sara Paxton. The role brought her a Young Artist nomination for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Ensemble Cast. Also in 2004, Pevec landed a recurring role on the Fox short lived sitcom “Cracking Up,” starring Jason Schwartzman and Jake Sandvig. She played Hannah in the episodes “Grudge Match” and “Learning Disability.” Later that same year, she guest starred as Ruby in an episode of NBC's “Medical Investigation” called “In Bloom.”

After a guest spot in “Listen Up” (2005), a CBS sitcom starring Jason Alexander and Wendy Makkena, Pevec came to prominence when she landed the role of Christina Beardsley in “Yours, Mine and Ours” (2005), a remake of the 1968 film of the same name. Directed by Raja Gosnell and starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo, the comedy received negative reviews from critics but opened at No. 3 in the U.S.

Pevec had her first regular reoccurring role on the Nickelodeon series “Just for Kicks,” which ran from April until August 2006. In the series, she starred as Lauren Zelmer. Costars of the series included Francesca Catalano, Mallory Low, Jessica Williams and Jerad Anderson. Still in 2006, she also appeared as Kelly McMurphy in an episode of CBS' “Without a Trace” called “Shattered” and played the role of Cynthia Platz in the independent film “Art School Confidential,” which was directed by Terry Zwigoff and written by Daniel Clowes. The film was met with a mixed reception from critics and brought in a little over $3 million at the box office, under its budget of $5 million.

In 2008, Pevec was cast as Page in the Steven Spielberg produced thriller “Eagle Eye,” which was directed by D.J. Caruso and starred Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan. The film earned mixed to negative reviews from critics but opened at No.1 at the North America box office and grossed over $178 million worldwide.

The next year, Pevec played Becky in “Life Is Hot in Cracktown,” a film written and directed by Buddy Giovinazzo that starred Kerry Washington, Shannyn Sossamon, Brandon Routh and Lara Flynn Boyle. On the small screen, she guest starred as Jenny in an episode of CBS' “Three Rivers” called “Ryan's First Day.”
