Background:
Kate Forster, daughter of the Academy Award nominee Robert Forster,
appeared with her father in such films as “Hollywood Harry”
(1986), which marked her debut, “Family Tree” (1999),
“It's a Shame About Ray” (2000) and “Diamond
Men” (2000), from which she also got a credit as associate
producer. She also appeared in other films like “Me, Myself &
Irene” (2000, with Jim Carrey), “Mulholland Dr.”
(2001, with Justin Theroux and Naomi Watts) and “Thank
Heaven” (2006, with Matt Keeslar). On the small screen, Kate had
guest starring roles on the popular shows “Grey's
Anatomy” and “Strong Medicine” (both 2005).
Kate has been divorced from husband Robert Bendick since 2005.

Childhood and Family:
Kathrine 'Kate' Forster was born on October 26, 1969. She is the
daughter of actor Robert Forster (born July 13, 1941) and his first
wife, June Forster. Kate has two sisters, Elizabeth (born 1967) and
Maeghen (born 1972).
On July 5, 2002, Kate was married to Robert Bendick (born October 5,
1970). The couple later divorced in 2005. The bond produced one child.
Diamond Men
Career:
Billed as Kathrine Forster, Kate Forster had her first film debut at
age 17 in “Hollywood Harry” (1986), which was directed by
and starred her father, Robert Forster. There she played the supporting
role of Danielle Petry.
Kate, however, did not appear in another film until 1999's
“Family Tree,” playing Ms. Krynock. Directed by Duane Clark
and written by Paul Canterna, the drama/family movie won the Special
Jury Award for Independent Theatrical Feature Films - Family/Children
at the WorldFest Houston and Directors Gold Award at the Santa Clarita
International Film Festival. It starred her father and Naomi Judd.
Entering the new millennium, Kate made a brief appearance in the hit
comedy film “Me, Myself & Irene” (2000), which was
directed by the Farrelly Brothers and starred Jim Carrey, and
reunited with her father for the comedy “It's a Shame About
Ray” (2000), which won the Jury Award for Best Short Film at the
Newport Beach Film Festival. The same year, she also served as an
associate producer on the Dan Cohen drama film “Diamond
Men,” starring her father, Donnie Wahlberg and Bess Armstrong.
She also appeared on the film as a customer.
In 2001, Kate portrayed Martha Johnson in “Mulholland Dr.,”
a neo-noir psychological thriller film written and directed by David
Lynch and starring Justin Theroux, Naomi Watts and Laura Harring.
Following another absence, Kate hit television with guest spots in
“Summerland” (2004), “Grey's Anatomy” (2005),
where she appeared as Jane Richie in the latter show's episode called
“Shake Your Groove Thing,” and “Strong
Medicine” (2005).
In 2006, Kate had a featured role as a waitress in the comedy film
“Thank Heaven,” starring Matt Keeslar, Jenny McCarthy and
Gia Carides. The John Mallory Asher directed movie has become her last
screen appearance to date.
