SummaryGo Vin, Go
Content
Nice movie, but totally different than Pitch Black.
Pitch Black was more sinister and horror SF. This movie is good action from the begin to the end, wrapped in a SF jacket.
Very nicely done, because although it's so different from it's precessor, it still works. This is SF, what happens on one planet doesn't have to happen on another.

The Director's Cut is big improvement to the theatric release.
Don't watch that again and go straight fot the director's cut.

SummaryAmazing!
Content
For anyone who has seen Pitch Black this will truly be a treat, but you won't have to have seen Pitch Black to enjoy this film. This is a fantastically written story. The effects are awesome, the cast is one of the best I have seen, and the costumes and set are amazing. All of the above melds together so well you will have trouble remembering that this is something completly imaginary at times. I enjoyed this flick throughly and feel it is a must have in my movie collection.

this movie would've been better if they had a better actor, fairly decent story line and of course special effects. This is worth seeing once.

Summary" Should've Taken The Money, Toombs " - Riddick.
Content
The first part of the Riddick Trilogy, The Chronicles Of Riddick starts off a Riddick ( Vin Diesel ), the main character from the 2000 hit alien movie Pitch Black, ecaping bounty hunters on a frozen barren planet. Once escaped and gained a ship, Riddick heads off to Helious Prime, where his bounty was put. There he finds that an old frined of his, as well as learning that the bounty was placed on him by a mystical elementol. She tells Riddick of the Necromongers, a race that is in search of the an alternate-v erse known as the Underverse. It was a prophecy that a Furian would kill the leader Lord Marshall and stop the Necromongers from destroying or taking over planets. Riddick, being of the last Furians, at first disagrees, untill the Necromongers soon invade Helious Prime. Eventually, Riddick is caught and taken to the Necro ship. When the Necromongers learn he is a Furian, they try to kill him. Luckily, before Riddick is caught, Toombs, the earlier bounty hunter, captures Riddick, and sends him to Creamotoria, a firey prison planet. Once there, Riddick reunites with Kyra ( aka Jack from Pitch Black ) and starts looking for a way to escape and stop the Necromongers from destroying Helious Prime. This is the first half of the movie. I will not spoil the exciting second half or the shocking ending of the movie. You will have to by it for yourself! The Chronicles Of Riddick is the first movie in a series of Riddick movies ( Riddick 2 & 3 are both planned for 2007/2008, similar the the Matrix sequels. ) This is only the beginning.
