Career:

Jordan Fry began acting in church and school plays. His film career got start in 2002 when he booked the role of Porter Purdy, the grandson of Alan Arkin, on the small but pleasurable independent comedy “Porter Purdy.” Directed and co-written by Neal Miller, the film screened at Corvallis, Oregon on November 10, 2006 and received a limited theatrical release on February 2, 2007.

After making an appearance in “Entertainment Tonight” in 2004, Fry scored his breakout role on the adventure/comedy “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (2005), adapted from the 1964 book of the same name by Roald Dahl. He played an obsessive video game player named Mike Teavee.

Helmed by Tim Burton, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” received critical acclaim and was a success at the box office (grossed nearly $475 million worldwide). Costars in the film included Johnny Depp, Freddie Highmore, David Kelly, Helena Bonham Carter, and Noah Taylor. Fry also provided the voice of Mike Teavee on the video game version of the movie.

In 2006, Fry portrayed Clarence in “Counter-Fit,” a 10 minute film directed and co-penned by Tim Lowry. The following year, he provided the voice of Lewis on the Walt Disney computer animated family film, “Meet the Robinsons,” based on William Joyce's book, “A Day with Wilbur Robinson.” Helmed by Steve Anderson, the film earned mostly positive reviews from critics. It grossed $169,333,034 at the box office. Fry was nominated for a 2008 Young Artist in the category of Best Performance in a Voice-Over Role - Young Actor for his work on the film. “Meet the Robinsons” also starred the voice of Harland Williams, Tom Kenny, Steve Anderson, Angela Bassett, Laurie Metcalf, Adam West, Tom Selleck and Nicole Sullivan.

Recently, Fry starred as Kyle on Tim Lowry's “The Journey” (2010).
