 | Me, Myself and Irene is a solid and very funny Farrelly Brothers movie that is not as funny as There's Something about Mary. This is my 2nd favorite Farrelly Brothers Comedy tied with Dumb and Dumber. But, really, I mean isn't it weird to see Jim Carrey in an R rated comedy? Sure he was in Man on the moon but I mean normally he's in PG-13 ones. (Dumb and Dumber, Bruce Almighty, Liar Liar, The Mask, etc..)
This movie's plot is about Charley, a sweet Rhode Island who's way too nice and kind. When his wife cheats on him and leaves him, Charley has to raise 3 boys that aern't really his sons. They were the man with whom her wife was cheating with's sons. So here's Charley, raising his 3 sons who are trully geniuses but also enjoy watching stand up comedy and stuff.
Charley then goes to an ordinary day of work when he just loses it. And boy does he do crazy and hilarious things. Charley now has a split personality with the sweet Charley and the crazy Hank. He is given pills to prevent his condition from taking effect but when he accompanies a lady to New York, lots of things will happen.
The movie has loads of jokes delivered mainly by Hank (Jim Carrey) and his 3 hilarious sons. I found the movie to be really funny and worth a buy. This movie is worth having in everyone's comedy collection. Some really great laughs! |

 | This would have to be one of the worst so called "Comedies" I have ever seen and believe me I have sat through some real turkeys in my lifetime. For some reason Hollywood decided that it could poke fun at the serious Mental Illness Known as Multiple Personality Disorder.Jim Carrey would have to be one of the most overrated comics working today and he is not very funny in this movie. I give this movie 5 stars because I kind of like the scenery. |

 | This is one of Jim Carreys funniest movies! He did a great
job playing multiple personalities. The 3 guys playing his
sons, were also great. I saw this in the theater with my
10 year old, now he's 15. This movie is definitely not for
kids! I didn't realize it at the time. If you want to laugh
your ass off, rent this movie, it's hilarious! |

 | "Me, Myself & Irene" suffers from the same split personality that Jim Carrey's character does. The comic set pieces are funny and Carrey is on his game. But the lame corrupt cops story that the comedy is wrapped around is from hunger. That said, there is alot to recommend in this film about a Rhode Island Highway Patrolman whose taken it on the chin for so long that his evil alter ego emerges. The kids that play Carrey's triplet "sons" are a hoot. There was talk at the time of this film's release of a spin-off film for the triplets but that never materialized probably because of the lukewarm reception that "Me, Myself & Irene" got. I think alot of the invective that was directed at this film was the result of it not being as funny as the Farrelly Brothers previous film, "There's Something About Mary". This one's not a classic but I've seen worse. |
