American actress Jillian Murray is probably best known for appearances on the films “American High School” (2009), “Forget Me Not” (2009), “Wild Things: Foursome” (2010), and the television series “Sonny With a Chance” (2009).

Murray is an automobile enthusiast and used to spend time racing at the drag strip. She also rides a motorcycle. Murray is fluent in American Sign Language. She is a champion chess player.

Jillian Murray was born Jillian Leigh Murray on June 4, 1984, in Reading, Pennsylvania. Her father's family is Irish and her mother's family is Scottish. She attended the same high school in Wyomissing, PA, as Taylor Swift. Her nickname is Jill.

Sonny With a Chance


Jillian Murray made her screen debut in the 2003 independent movie “Deep Toad,”where she played the role of Natashia. Three years later, she appeared in two episodes of the television series “Drake & Josh” and “One Night with You,” a comedy film starring Mark Boone Junior, Michael Parks and Jake La Botz. Murray got her first leading role on the direct to video horror film “The Fun Park” (2007), where she was cast as a mentally unstable girl named Megan Davis. The same year, she also appeared in the made for TV film “Cheerleader Camp” (2007).    

Murray later had roles on “Legacy” (2008), a direct to video film starring Haylie Duff, Madeline Zima and Monica Lo, “An American Carol” (2008), a comedy film directed by David Zucker and starring Kevin Farley, “American High School” (2009) and “Alpha Males Experiment” (2009, starring Ross McCall, Paul J. Alessi and Amie Barsky). She also played Lex in the horror/thriller film “Forget Me Not,” starring Carly Schroeder, Cody Linley and Brie Gabrielle, and starred opposite Clare Grant in “The Graves” (2009), a horror film written and directed by veteran comic book creator Brian Pulido. She starred in a recurring role on the Disney Channel original series “Sonny With a Chance” (2009), playing Portlyn.

In 2010, Murray played the leading role of Brandi Cox on “Wild Things: Foursome,” the fourth installment in the Wild Things series. Directed by Andy Hurst, the film was released as a direct-to-DVD video on June 1, 2010. Her co-stars in the film also included Marnette Patterson, Ashley Parker Angel, Jessie Nickson, John Schneider and Ethan S. Smith. The same year, she also made a guest appearance on “Rules of Engagement” in the episode “Little Bummer Boy,” playing Young woman.     

Murray next could be seen in films like “Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown” (2011), “Cougar Hunting” (2011), “Bad Ass” (2012) and “Visible Scars” (2012) as well as on the television series “Awkward” (2011) and “Perception” (2012). She had an uncredited part in the video game “Mass Effect 3” (2012).

In 2014, Murray portrayed Penny in the horror/thriller film “Cabin Fever: Patient Zero” (starring Sean Astin, Currie Graham, Ryan Donowho), Jordana in the mystery/thriller movie “Windsor Drive” (starring Samaire Armstrong, Anna Biani and Matt Cohen) and Natalie in the comedy  “The Squeeze” (starring  Jeremy Sumpter, Katherine LaNasa, Jason Dohring).

Murray has completed filming “Mantervention” (2014), a comedy film directed by Stuart Acher and written by Juan E.G and starring Chloe Bridges, Nick Roux, Travis Van Winkle, and Mario Van Peebles and “My Favorite Five” (2015), a romance film directed and written by Paul D. Hannah and starring Rochelle Aytes, Brian White and DeRay Davis. She will play Lisa Mills in “The Downside of Bliss” (2015), and Danni in “Welcome to Purgatory” (2015) and its sequel, “Welcome to Purgatory II: The Journey to Hell” (2016).
