Jessica Simpson, Biography
Background:
In an industry that's flooded with sleazy costumes and foul language, Jessica
Simpson blossoms like a rose. A simple, Christian girl at heart, Jessica
endeavors to please those around her. So far, she's succeeding.
Crossing the genre of Christian music to that of Pop, Jessica
has done it without compromising her values or beliefs. Ok, perhaps her looks
did help her, and perhaps the young woman isn't always the knowledgeable star,
but her clean-cut stage presence and feminine voice has led her to the success
path.
Fans love her and parents are not afraid to purchase her CD's.
She's driven and ambitious and the elite nickname, America's Sweetheart, has
been mentioned in regards to her. She's a Youth Ambassador for Operation Smile,
whose volunteers repair childhood facial deformities hoping to create smiles,
change lives, and heal humanity. She is also, a bit ditzy.
Jessica believes there's a difference between ditzy and dumb,
stating, "Dumb is just not knowing. Ditzy is having the courage to ask!" And,
her fans adore her even more for her natural ditz.
She may not understand the difference between tuna and chicken,
"Is this chicken what I'm eating right now or is this fish? I know it's tuna,
but it says chicken by the sea" but her hope that people will fall in love with
her voice seems to be working. "I want people to fall in love with my voice
before my image."
She turned down a role in the movie Coyote Ugly, but has stepped
on the acting stage in appearances on The Twilight Zone and That `70's Show. She
was a virgin when she married Nick Lachey and can be a bit of a little diva with
her water. "I like Fiji water and I normally do not like Evian, so the only diva
thing that I pull is no Evian."
There's no arguing that Jessica Simpson is in the spotlight and
if her fans have anything to do with it, she will remain there.
Childhood and Family:
