 | This film is notable only for one reason-the film debut of soon-to-be overlord of the human race, Dakota Fanning. Her brilliant mastery of dialogue, pacing and screen technique (even as "six-year-old girl in park") makes one see why when this sordid cesspool we call Earth eventually heaves up its bowels in a churning mass of humanity, Dakota will be the one who rescues us all from mediocrity, imbecility, and guys named "Bob", who attempt to hit on women who are WAY too young for them, and get shot down as a result. UltraLord has spoken! |

 | While ostensibly the worst movie of the 21st century, this paean to masculinity has pushed the feminist movement up by 30 years. How? By exulting in the lowest common denominator of male attributes. Imbecilic jokes abound to entertaining the male masses who must make up the majority of this film's viewers. However, below the surface is brilliance, undercovered only by a select group of cinematic geniuses.
To the select few, this film is actually a stark examination of depravity: we are asked to observe B-grade actors be pushed increasingly lower into the depths. We explore what is NOT on the screen, such as the awkward human feeling behind the scenes. One can only imagine the director yelling "Tomcats, Scene 5, Act 4! ACTION!," as Horatio Sanz is asked for the fourteenth time to tell a (...) joke.
Thus, if you want to see phallus jokes and dispense high-fives, watch the film. If you want to see a brilliant dissertation of human depravity, check it out. |

 | This 2001 sex comedy delivers the goods. It is very funny especially with its gross out humor bits. You will laugh from beginning to end. The acting in the movie is pretty good. And the beautiful Shannon Elizabeth looks so hot as she usually does. This movie is great fun and will have you wanting more. |

 | It was 1:00 A.M. and this little flick was on.The cast looked interesting and the plot sounded different.Little did I know I was going to be entering hell for the next hour in a half. The acting was horrid. The dialogue was dumb and the script was even dumber.Every scene was some potty joke that was stupid and uncalled for, and to top it of the director tried to mix in some romance. The whole film had this premise that if you had an IQ of 10 or below you will like it.I actually felt I was losing brain cells watching this junk.I've never heard of a more stupid plot than this.I should have known anything that's called a romantic comedy with Jerry O' Connell, Jake Busey, and Shannon Elizabeth is not a good sign.I remember at one point I felt like I was going to throw up the scene was so disgusting.(SPOILERS)Oh yeah it was the part where Jerry was chasing Jake's ball down the hall( hey that rhymes) and the doctor thought it was a chocolate because it landed in his chocolate bowl and it got a close up on his face biting it in half.(END OF SPOILERS)It was just sick.Any ways if your into this kind of stuff then ..... don't ever ever check it out even if it's on T.V. You will get dumber trust me I'm feeling a little whoosy.
The plot surrounds a "kitty" (double entendre intended), created by a group of swinging pals determined to stave off marriage at all costs, with the cash headed towards whoever stays single the longest. Seven years later, only two of the friends remain single, and the pot is up to a half million in cash. When one of the two singles, Michael Delaney (Jerry O'Connell), runs afoul of the Las Vegas gambling mafia on account of a big-breasted babe, he needs that kitty cash desperately. Michael attempts to con his competitor, Kyle Brenner (Jake Busey), into marrying the wildly attractive policewoman Natalie (Shannon Elizabeth), who holds a personal vendetta against Kyle. But the best laid plans begin to run afoul when Natalie and Michael fall for each other instead. Filled with totally gross sex gags, pot shots at other films, and slapstick humor, TOMCATS is a humorous take on adult men who have not outgrown their adolescent mentalities about love, sex, and relationships.
"This is, quite simply, an extremely bad movie."
