Career:

Jana Kramer made her professional acting debut as Alice St. James in the direct-to-video horror/thriller “Dead/Undead” (2002), which was written by Matt Valade. Her first television role arrived in the following year when she was cast in an episode of the ABC soap opera “All My Children.” She also appeared in “The Passage,” an action film directed and penned by Daniel Casey, and “Blood Games” (both 2003), a vampire movie that starred John Anton.

After costarring with Dedee Pfeiffer, Danny Woodburn and Christine Lakin in the horror “Blue Demon” (2004), which was straightly released on video, Kramer portrayed Katie Williams on Ellory Elkayem's “Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis” (2005), opposite Aimee-Lynn Chadwick as Becky, John Keefe as Julian Garrison and Peter Coyote as Uncle Charles. During shooting in Romania, Kramer became so sick that she could not finish filming and had to be flown back to the US. As a result, the script had to be re-written, and her character was suddenly killed off at the end.

Kramer's film career took off after she won the role of Julie on the Adam Sandler comedy vehicle “Click” (2006). The film was nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Achievement in Makeup and won a 2007People's Choice Award for Favorite Movie Comedy. A box office success, “Click” has grossed over $137 million domestically and over $100 million worldwide.

Subsequently, Kramer was seen in popular TV shows such as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “CSI: NY” (both also 2006) and “Grey's Anatomy” (2008). In 2007, she began her recurring role on the Peter Berg-created series “Friday Night Lights,” playing Noelle Davenport. She would keep the job until 2008. On the big screen front, Kramer landed roles in Rob Hedden's comedy, “Boxboarders!” (2007, as Victoria), Sam Logan Khaleghi's “Approaching Midnight” (2008, starred as Aspen), Michael Pietrzak's “Bar Starz” (2008, costarred along side Derek Waters and Charlie Finn), Nelson McCormick's horror, “Prom Night” (2008, starred Brittany Snow) and “The Poker Club” (2008), a nice indie-thriller from director Tim McCann.

Recently, Kramer teamed up with Rachel Dratch, Parker Posey and Will Arnett in the comedy feature “Spring Breakdown,” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 16, 2009. She portrayed Jamie in Robert Hall's horror, “Laid to Rest” (2009). Besides, Kramer guested as Lyla in a “Private Practice” episode called “What Women Want” and played the recurring role of Portia in the CW Network drama series “90210”
