Career:
Jack Kaeding made his film acting debut as six year old Augusten
Burroughs on the 2006 comedy/drama “Running with Scissors,”
based on the Augusten Burroughs' 2002 memoir of the same name. Directed
and written by Ryan Murphy and starring Joseph Cross, Annette Bening,
Brian Cox, Joseph Fiennes, Evan Rachel Wood, Alec Baldwin, Jill
Clayburgh, and Gwyneth Paltrow, the film received negative reviews from
critics and scored $7,460,797 at the box office.
Kaeding resurfaced in the following year when he had an uncredited part
as 9 year old Tom on the drama film “Rails & Ties,”
which marks the directorial debut of Clint Eastwood's daughter,
Alison. Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden starred in the film.
In 2009, Kaeding played the role of Samuel in a short film by Pamela
Kay called “The Flower Girl.” His co-stars in the film
included Amanda Bergmann, Richard Cray and Christina Maria Davis.
In 2011, Kaeding appeared as Billy in the coming of age surfing film
“Beautiful Wave,” which was co-written and directed by
David Mueller.
