Swedish import Helena Mattsson is best known for her role as  Alexis Blume on  the television series “666 Park Avenue” (ABC, 2012-2013). She is also known for having recurring roles on “Desperate Housewives” (2010), “Nikita” (2011-2012), “Betrayal” (2013), “Mistresses” (2014) and “American Horror Story” (2015). She has appeared in several films, including “Surrogates” (2009), “Iron Man 2” (2010), “Guns, Girls and Gambling” (2012) and “Seven Psychopaths” (2012).


Childhood and Family:

Helena Mattsson was born on March 30, 1984, in Stockholm, Sweden, as Helena Christina Mattsson. She has two sisters. She graduated from Performing Arts High School in Stockholm. She is a skilled dancer and is also trained in Martial Arts.



Helena Mattsson was discovered by a noted modeling agency in Sweden when she was a teenager. She performed in “Wild Side Story” and other cabarets in Sweden and moved to London to continue to study acting after graduating from high school. When she was 19, Mattsson moved to Hollywood to further pursue her acting career. Her first television role was in the 2004 television film “Sweden, Ohio,” playing Lena. The same year, she had an uncredited part in the Sweden film “Drowning Ghost,” directed by Mikael Håfström.

Mattsson went on to make guest appearances in television series like “Sex, Love & Secrets” (2005), “CSI: NY” (2005), “Kitchen Confidentia” (2006), “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2007), “Cold Case” (2007), “CSI: Miami” (2007), “Two and a Half Men” (2008), “Rules of Engagement” (2009), “Legend of the Seeker” (2009), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2010), “The Defenders” (2010) and “The Mentalist” (2010), and in 2010, she had a recurring role as Irina Kosokov in “Desperate Housewives.” She also appeared in various TV film and film productions, including playing JJ the Blonde in the movie adaptation of the comic book series, “Surrogates” (2009, with Bruce Willis) and Rebecca in 2010's “Iron Man 2,” the sequel to 2008's “Iron Man,” starring Robert Downey Jr.

Between 2011 and 2012, Mattsson played the role of Cassandra Ovechkin in three episodes of “Nikita.” She was featured as Kira in the Russian drama film “You and I” (2011) and also had roles in other films like “Melvin Smarty” (2012), “The Babymakers” (2012), “Guns, Girls and Gambling” (2012, with Gary Oldman) and “Seven Psychopaths” (2012, with Colin Farrell). She continued on making guest appearances in television series with gigs in “Detroit 1-8-7” (2011), “Breakout Kings” (2011) and “Workaholics” (2012).   

Mattsson played the main role of Alexis Blume in the ABC supernatural drama series “666 Park Avenue,” which ran from September 30, 2012 to July 13, 2013. The cast also included Rachael Taylor, Dave Annable, Robert Buckley, Mercedes Masohn, Erik Palladino, Samantha Logan, Vanessa Williams and Terry O'Quinn.  

In 2013, Mattsson played the recurring role of Brandy Korskaya in the ABC short lived drama series “Betrayal,” starring Hannah Ware and Henry Thomas. She played Greta Jager in four episodes of “Mistresses” in 2014 and Jemma Stalone in two episodes of “Fargo,” that same year. She had a small role in the 2014 comedy film “Audrey,” starring Sybil Darrow.

Recently, in 2015, Mattsson portrayed Agnetha in two episodes of “American Horror Story” and  starred with Corey Sevier and Catherine Hicks in the TV film “Win, Lose or Love.”

Mattsson will play roles on the upcoming films “Something About Her” (2015), “Code of Honor” (2015), “The Loner” (2016) and “Smartass” (2016). She will appear as Isabelle Yates in the 2016 TV film “Paradise Pictures.”
