Heidi Mueller _210212
Passions
Background:
“When she started, she had never acted and came from the reality
show ... she was always very serious about the work and worked really
hard to learn her lines. A soap opera is like boot camp. Now, she makes
it all seem very spontaneous, and she's right there for you. It's
really been lovely to see her grow as an actress.” Passion
co-star Juliet Mills (on Heidi Mueller)

Career:
Heidi Mueller originally auditioned for the reality television dating
game show “The Bachelor,” which debuted on ABC in
2002, but she did not succeed. Instead, NBC picked her and her family
for the reality show “Who Wants to Marry My Dad?”, whose
point was to have the children pick out a new bride for their father to
propose to and marry. The show ran from July 14, 2003 until
August 2, 2004.
Mueller's huge break came when she joined the cast of the NBC soap
opera “Passions” in the mid 2003 in the role of Kay. In
2005, she received a Soap Opera Digest nomination for Outstanding
Female Newcomer for her performance, but quit later in 2008. Mueller
became the fourth actress to play Kay, after Taylor Anne Mountz
(1999-2000), Gina Marie May (2000, temporary replacement) and Deanna
Wright (2000-2003).
In 2011, Mueller appeared as Secretary in several episodes of the HBO
comedy series “Funny or Die Presents....” The same year,
she also made her feature acting debut in “Vile,” directed
by Taylor Sheridan. Co-stars in the horror film included Eric Jay Beck,
April Matson, Akeem Smith, Greg Cipes, Elisha Skorman, Maya Hazen and
Rob Kirkland.
