Content
Will Smith is a lawyer who got mix up into some trouble when some old college buddy of his ran into Will at some women's underwear shop with out Will's knowledge he slip a videotape in Will's bag that tap had the murder of a congress man. People who want that tape are National Security Agents they are the one's who cause that murder and they want the evidence to clear so they chase after Will. This movie had some great acting, adverturous, drama, action, and it's not boring just because it's not a sci-fi special affects. It was a dissapointment cause their was no box office hit to it what a rip off.

SummaryBeen there... Done that
Content
ENEMY OF THE STATE follows a tradition of wire tapping on film. SNEAKERS and THE CONVERSATION come immediately to mind. But, 'ENEMY' carries a more 'tired' storyline than those others. It carries Tony Scott's particular visual style making much of the film unique to the eye, but not to the brain. Will Smith is supposed to carry the film, immediatley placing it in an awkward position. Smith automatically adds levity to the role and the storyline has no place for it. He did better work in ALI. Gene Hackman, one of our greatest actors, plays a character very similar to his HARRY CAUL from the far superior THE CONVERSATION. As usual, he adds a level of respectability to the film. So, Hackman and Smith cancel each other out leaving a clever twist ending and a visual style to carry the film. The film is ground-breaking in its presentation of the government surveillance team... in place of the standard dark-suit/dark sunglasses we now have nappy geeks more likely to be seen playing "FINAL FANTASY 3" on their computers. The film is solid entertainment but will not carry a huge following. The Widescreen DVD has a nice audio mix and a good video transfer.

SummaryThuroughly enjoyable, fast paced,...big brother is watching!
Content
The action producing-directing team of Jerry Bruckheimer and Tony Scott is back with another thrill-a-minute ride called Enemy of the State.

Robert Clayton Dean, played by Will Smith, is a devoted father, husband, and attorney shopping for a sexy gift for his wife. What he doesn't know is that he was given a videotape from a friend (Jason Lee) regarding the recent murder of a U.S. senator led by corrupt National Security Agency official Thomas Reynolds (Jon Voight). Now Reynolds is after Dean to cover his tracks or, as the audience soon finds out, frame Dean for Rachel's murder.

Since Dean isn't up on his high-tech gadgetry, he needs the aid of ex-intelligence operative Brill (Gene Hackman). Between the explosions and chases is the subtext of George Orwell's 1984 mantra "beware of big brother," as Dean realizes that in the modern world, there is no such thing as total privacy.

SummaryEnemy Of The State
Content
This is an intense conspiracy thriller. Shadow operations, satellite intelligence and the whole works. Will Smith is Robert Dean, attourney at law, who's life is put in shambles after accidentally receiving something he has no idea about. Enemy of the State is one of my all time favorie movies. It was well shot and Will Smith gives a great performance. This is one of Tony Scott's best films. With a colorful cast like Gene Hackman, Jon Voight, Jack Black, Jamie Kennedy, and more, this film is hard to miss. A must-see for any conspiracy theorists lovers. If you haven't seen it than you've missed out.
