Gemma Atkinson first attracted the attention of public when she played Lisa Hunter on Channel 4 teenage soap opera “Hollyoaks,” opposite Marcus Patric. She was on the show from 2001 to 2005. She also played Lisa on “Hollyoaks: After Hours” in 2004, and along with Patric, she starred in a spin off series for E4 called “Hollyoaks: Let Loose” in 2005. Atkinson again reprised the role of Lisa on “Hollyoaks: In the City,” which ran on E4 from August 14, 2006 to December 13, 2006.
In 2007, Atkinson appeared as a contestant in the television reality shows “Soapstar Superstar” (ITV) and “I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” (ITV). She finished at the fifth place on both shows. In 2008, Atkinson made her debut video game appearance in “Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3,” where she played Lt. Eva McKenna. She reprised the role on “Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 – Uprising” (2009).
