SummaryI remember the series....wow....i have ordered the dvd
Content
I came across a website where you could recommend TV shows to "appear" on DVD. "FAME" was a must see series to me, to the point when, I filled out a Neilson or Arbitron rating (on paper) when the series was running, I added into the comments section...."I was away on business, but I would certainly have watched the show" for one of the weeks.

Anyway, sorry for the prologue, but this is one of the most wonderful series I have seen on television. The characters were people I felt that I knew from the first time that I saw them. Every cast member is a treasure. I have not seen these, of course for years, but....

Debbie Allen, talent extrordinaire...both as dancer, and also her other contributions to the show....

the English teacher, sorry, after all these years....Elizabeth Sherwood, but I have forgotton your professional name....

Mr. Schrofsky (I remember you well)

Bruno....

uh oh, my problem is that we need to lobby for DVD release of the next seasons. Especially one of my favorites, "The Monster That Devoured Las Vegas". Hope Steven Spielberg (hope I spelled his surname right) will let this one go out, his cameo was great.

I am ecstatic...cannot wait for delivery.

This is the one I've been waiting for! I can't wait til November 1st - so that I can sit down and watch the whole Season 1. FYI Amazon - Irene Cara was in the movie not on the TV show which starred Debbie Allen, Lee Curreri and Erica Gimpel.

SummaryFINALLY!!!!!!
Content
With all the other tv shows they've released on DVD I have been WAITING for this to finally happen. I spent my childhood glued to the TV each night that this came on. They ran a small marathon on one of the cable stations a while back and I was able to get some of the episodes. I daydreamed every day of being able to go to a school like this and study my craft. This show was and still is amazing and in my heart will always live forever. Thank you to whomever finally got smart and decided to release this...I hope that this will be the first of many purchases of this show...can't want for subsequent seasons to be released!!!!
