 | I heard so much about this movie over the last year or so, so when I was able to buy it I did.
HANDS DOWN the funniest movie I have seen this year. I wish I had seen it years ago but better late then never.
The cast is amazing, they made this movie such a gem. One crazy thing after another. All I have to say is " It's nice to get away from camp, even if it's only for an hour"...lol.
I love the fact that it's set in the early 80's. It reminds me of the movies from that time.
Buy this movie, you will not be dissapointed. |

 | If you were a teenager in the eighties and remember all of those hokey-camp flicks, you will love this movie. This flick really is geared squarely towards gen-x'ers; it attempts to recreate the look, feel, and attitude of the eighties (and does so perfectly in my opinion), while at the same time it pokes fun at a decade that really was, well... silly.
The whole falling SkyLab thing was hysterical to me; I can remember being in junior-high and having science teachers talk about the decaying orbit of SkyLab, and being sure it was going to land on my house(!).
Hindsight is what makes much of this movie funny. It's funny because in 1983, this movie, with very little adjustment, could have been released as one of the movies that it mocks. In some ways the humor is too well executed; if you don't get the joke right away you might as well turn it off.
Oh man, and don't even get me started on the soundtrack... |

 | If you like movies such as Dazed and Confused (plotless)...well, I can't think of any others off the top of my head. But anyway, this movie is pure hilarity. No plot, just pure funny. The casting was perfect. The jokes never get old. You find something new to laugh at every time you watch it. And the soundtrack is unbeatable. If you love to laugh, and laugh hard, see this movie. It is one of those movies you will quote over and over with your circle of friends. Great stuff. |

 | This movie is hillarious! It is a farce such as the Monty Python & naked gun movies, so with the rules thrown away, you can do so much more as far as it pertains to comedy. This movie does it in a different way, its real abstract, over the top and smart humor, but it is executed in a straight faced subtle way. I laughed more and harder at this movie than I have ever done with any movie, and I push and pimp this movie on everybody. So watch it, good flippin' movie. |
