David Charvet (who was born David Faranck Guez on May 15, 1972 in Lyon, France, son of Guess jeans founder, Tunisian-born Jewish businessman Paul Guez, and his French-born wife) caught his big break in 1992 on Baywatch as "Matt Brody" and remained with the show for three full seasons until 1995. He won a green card through the visa lottery then in place.

He dated Pamela Anderson prior and during the second season. Charvet also appeared as "Craig Field" on Melrose Place from 1996 to 1998.

He is currently based in his native France where he acts and sings and is seen on TV.
