SummaryA Christmas Twist
Content
I'm sure the majority that have seen this film probably agree with me that this is a classic. And why wouldn't be? It is a Tim Burton production and practically every film he touches turns into gold. As the case with this one. A Christmas like you've never seen. A Christmas with a little twist of halloween. Jack and Sally's characters in this film make the film extremely memorable with excellent portrayals. Who wouldn't like to see the Boogie Man take on Santa Claus? And the music, none the cheesy as it tends to go with some Disney flicks. This tale is beautiful and original. Including the music, created and sung by none other than Danny Elfman. They even named a band after Jack Skellington. Heck even Blink 182 mentions Jack and Sally in "I miss you." If you are looking for a plot, don't dismay this has one as well and a central theme. So no one should feel left out, even those who enjoy artistic features.

SummaryBest movie ever!!
Content
I LOVE this movie! It is a animated, comedy-musical. It is about Jack, the Pumpkin King. One day, he stumbles apon Christmas Town. He loves it, and wants to bring the spirit of Christmas Town to Halloween Town. This even requires kidnapping "Sandy Claws"! The songs are GREAT! I suggest you buy the soundtrack too. I saw this movie over 10 times.

SummaryA Fantastic Animated Masterpiece- A Review By Mary Sanders
Content
The Nightmare Before Christmas is a beatiful animated film consisting of clay figures. Tim Burton worked on this film and really did a supreme job like he always does. A little bit about the film though...

Jack Skellington, king of Halloweenland becomes bored with frights and screams, so one day he wanders within a forest consisting of magic holiday trees, and stumbles into one with a Christmas tree engraved upon it. He becomes obsessed and fascinated with Christmas tradition, and tries to spread it in Halloweenland. Let's just say, things didn't work out.
This film's animation though is so heartbreakingly gorgeous! With the macabre clay figures which people actually took time doing then, and they just don't make them that way anymore. The music is great too, only by the legendary Danny Elfman. The extras on this DVD are really neat too. But the best and most interesting of the extras is both of Tim Burton's "early films" which are "Frankenweenie," and "Vincent." They are both really awesome, and I liked "Vincent" best because of the animation and beautiful rhyming words that all melt into a poem, and its narrated by the great Vincent Price himself. Buy this DVD. You won't be disappointed!

SummaryHow Can you not Love it!
Content
Tim Burton's TNBC is a movie I fell in love with when I was three years old, and I still love it, being that I'm 12 going on 13 next month. People worked their butts off for 5 years just to bring us an hour and 15 minutes of enjoyment, and they didn't dissapoint me. I'm so angry at the poser goth kids that made this movie "cool." They don't like it for what it really is. I could beat them up so hard with my anger if I felt like it!

So, this stop-motion film is about Jack, The Pumpkin King of Halloweentown. He's tired of the life he lives scaring the pants off of people, dreaming of something new. When he finds Chrstmastown, he tries to make it his own, not fully understanding the concept.
Meanwhile, Jacks good friend Sally, who secretly admires him, has a horrible vision Chrismas cannot survive in the hands of Jack Skellington. She tries to warn him, but he doesn't believe anything could go wrong.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. With dazzling stop-motion effects, beautiful music composed by Danny Elfman, and a perfect story, how can you not love it!!!

Overall grade: 5 stars; a movie anyone can enjoy! See Edward Scissorhands if you liked this movie. What are you waiting for...buy the movie, and enjoy!

SummaryFantastic film, non-anamorphic DVD...
Content
The Nightmare Before Christmas is truly a wonderful film... Incredible stop-motion animation, oustanding production design and great musical numbers. The film itself easily deserves 5 stars, and the DVD has great extras including a very interesting commentary track and two of Tim Burton's early short films.

Just be warned, however, that this Special Edition DVD features a non-anamorphic DVD transfer. Those of you with regular 4x3 TVs won't be affected by this but if you have a widescreen TV, the quality drops significantly. The sound is top-notch and the colours are vibrant, but with regards to the video quality, I just hope that Buena Vista will give this film the anamorphic DVD treatment it deserves someday.
