Background:
An American actress of Puerto Rican and Peru origins, Daniella Alonso is most
known for her role as the bi-sexual/homosexual Anna Taggaro in twelve episodes
of the popular television series “One Tree Hill” (2004-2005). Before, she
portrayed Pilar Domingo in the 1956 daytime soap opera “As the World Turns”
(2004). On the silver screen, Daniella, who made her debut in 1997’s Academy
Boyz, has dotted her resume with roles in Martin Lawrence’s Black Knight (2001),
Rhythm of the Saints (2003), The Last Romantic (2006), All You’ve Got (2006) and
Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror (2006). She is set to star in the horror film The
Hills Have Eyes II (2007), written by Wes Craven and his son, Jonathan.
Off camera, former spokes model of Cover Girl Cosmetics Daniella was named one
of “Maxim Hot 100” in 2006. She is an animal lover, and practices karate, from
which she has a 4th level green belt.

Childhood and Family:
A pretty New York native, Daniella Alonso, known by family and close friends as
Danny, was born on September 22, 1978. Her father is from Peru, with Japanese
descents, and her mother is Puerto Rican.
Hills Have Eyes II
Career:
Daniella Alonso was spotted before she began her freshman year at college and
was signed to the Ford Modeling Agency. Before long, she became the face of
Cover Girl Cosmetics Latina. Recalling, Daniella said, “They were hooked up with
Innovative, a commercial and theatrical agency and they were like, why don’t you
do commercials because you can make some money. So then I started booking
commercials.” Her first film role arrived in 1997, when she was cast as Lisa in
the 1972-set drama Academy Boyz, helmed and written by Dennis Cooper.
After a guest role in a 2001 episode of television series “Law & Order: Criminal
Intent,” Daniella made her next big screen outing with an uncredited part in the
Martin Lawrence vehicle Black Knight (2001), and appeared as Maddi Donlou in an
episode of the 1990 series “Law & Order” (2003). She also starred opposite
Sarita Choudhury and Ryan Donowho in the drama film Rhythm of the Saints (2003),
playing a 15-year-old girl intimidated by her stepfather.
A year later, Daniella booked her first regular role on the CBS long-running
daytime soap “As the World Turns,” portraying Pilar Domingo #2. However, the
young actress did not come to prominence until she was cast as the
homosexual/bi-sexual Anna Taggoro on The WB network’s successful serial “One
Tree Hill,” starring Sophia Bush. She remained with the show from October 2004
to April 2005.
Recently, Daniella made guest appearance as Jenny Rodriguez in “Cool Hunter,” a
2006 episode of CBS’s series “CSI: NY.” Moreover, she acted in The Last Romantic
(2006), an eccentric comedy from the Brothers Nee, appeared along side singer
Ciara, and Faizon Love in the sport-themed All You’ve Got (2006), as well as
portrayed Posie in the hip hop horror anthology Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror
(2006) for director Stacy Title.
Daniella will play Amber in the direct-to-video-release Wrong Turn 2: Dead End,
which for 2007 release. The horror/thriller is directed by Joe Lynch and
co-stars Erica Leerhsen, Texas Battle, Crystal Lowe and Henry Rollins.
Currently, she is filming The Hills Have Eyes II (2007), a horror movie written
by Wes Craven and his son, Jonathan, and helmed by Martin Weisz. The movie
follows the story of a group of National Guard trainees find themselves
combating against a sadistic group of mutants on their last day of training in
the desert.
