SummaryThe good old boys
Content
With Jake's release from Joliet the two Jake and Elwood Blues are back together again. After visiting The Penguin, they have a quest to save their old orphanage which requires the reformation of the band. We follow them on their quest, kibitzing when we can as the come across many of the musical greats from the past as Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, and James Brown. Toss in some neo-Nazis, Twiggy, Carry Fisher, and the entire Cook County police force in an intense chase scene.

Will the band get together?
Will the escape the revenge of Carry Fisher?
Will they be caught by the Real "Good Old Boys?"
Will they be caught by the Cook County Police force?
Will they be able to save the orphanage?
Will we have fun and lots of good music? (YES)

SummaryA classic, cannot be duplicated
Content
I have seen this movie so many times, but can't resist seeing it even more. What other movie combines seat grabbing action, comedy, some of the best musical talent around, and suspense? The Blues Brothers, of course! The chemistry between Belushi and Akroyd had in this film is still unmatched, IMO, to this day. While there was the Blues Brothers 2000, I can't even bear to look at that re-make without Belushi in it.

SummaryOn a mission from God
Content
What can you say about this movie that has not been said before? It's a classic. Great music, great cameo's and a mission from God. Let's talk about it. Sure it is silly. After all how many car chases have you seen on the evening news that run through shopping malls. . . or how many cops have you seen who fire their pistols willy-nilly into a crowd to stop the infamous blues brothers. . . or car pile-ups that defy imagination. But then there is the blues. . . not only the great music, but Jake and Elwood Blue themselves. Two men on a mission from God. . . seeking redemption for their lives that had gone bad. Not too bad of a theme. But what is that sub-plot about Jake's ex (Carrie Fisher) about? It adds nothing to the movie. But then, even great movies has their flaws. By the way this is definitely a guys movie. So next time you are stuck at home on a rainy Saturday afternoon, slip the Blues Brothers into your DVD and get ready for some great fun.

Summaryone of my all time favorites...
Content
this is oftentimes in my top 5 movies, sometimes in my top 3, and others it is my favorite film... i think i first paid attention to it when i heard my dad watching it in the other room and cracking up hystirically.... i've probably seen this film over 50 times... i love everything about it... the musical performances... the story, the characters... everything... i love the religious themes... and lately i do view it as sort of a religious film... and how we can get closer to g-d and redemption through music... and how no "authorities" really matter when you're on a special mission... from the snl skits, to the film, and their live performances, the blues brothers will forever be an integral part of who i am..... the spirit of jake and elwood is inside me :)
