SummaryOne of the Best Concert DVDs
Content
I'm a casual music listener. Normally I have a hard time watching through a complete concert DVD. I just don't have the patience. But Cyndi Lauper's Live....At Last (Live at Town Hall) captivated my attention for the full show which lasted for close to two hours.

In fact I didn't even know who Cyndi Lauper was until a few months ago. Sure I had heard a few of her hit songs like "True Colors" and "Time after Time" on the radio, but I didn't know who the singer was. That was until I heard "All through the Night" on the radio. I fell in love with this song immediately. I found out that the singer was Cyndi Lauper. I did a little digging on the web and realized that she was one of the popular female singers in the 80's. I just love her girlish voice in "All through the Night".

This concert was recorded in 2004 in Lauper`s hometown of New York. She performed excellently. The few songs that she sang from her recent CD (At Last) were better than the CD version. Normally singers perform better on the CD. This one was an exception. In fact, I didn't even mind that she sang a different version of the song during the concert. Ordinarily, I can't stand singers singing a different version of their hits in concert. I still don't like it. But in this show, I came to accept Cyndi's different interpretation of some of her old songs.

Cyndi is a versatile singer. She can sing slow songs like "Unchained Melody", rock like "Money Changes Everything", and everything in between. Of course my favorite is still "All through the Night". I was happy that she sang the original version. It was just totally fantastic. I was amazed by how energetic she was. She danced, she sang, she joked, and in between she chatted with the audience. She sounded just as if she were talking to some old friends. She could be very funny too. Cyndi really did a great job. After singing "Money Changes Everything," you could tell she was exhausted.

It is truly amazing that a gal at the age of 51 could be so full of energy. She might have lost a little of her girlish voice when she sang "All through the Night", but she definitely looked sexier.

One thing also worth mentioning is her band. This was a five-piece band that included a female violinist and an African-American female guitarist, pretty cool.

If I'm forced to keep only one concert DVD, this is the one.

SummaryA Dvd *NOT* to Be Missed!
Content
Every music fan out there should check this one out. But there is a pre-requisite here: you have to appreciate REAL Talent.
Cyndi has the amazing ability to connect with the crowd, make them feel completely comfortable(her story-telling is priceless),as if they were sitting in her living room, and put on a dynamite show with the most explosive and spectacular vocals this side of Janis Joplin and Billie Holiday.
She owns that stage every second she's on it.
She had me captivated and in awe.
She is a total perfectionist, who wants everyone to get their $$'s worth.
Cyndi Lauper is one incredible Talent....

SummaryWOW!
Content
Cyndi Lauper is an extremely talented singer who should be much bigger than she is. This is the way a concert DVD should look, impeccable picture and sound quality. She takes the stage and owns it with her winning personality and brief snippet stories between some songs. She floors the audience with her strong vocals and stage presence. What an engaging artist, this will blow you away if you have an appreciation for real talent!

Summary Rediscovering A Huge Talent
Content
I received this concert dvd in the mail last week and it hasn't left my dvd player yet. Cyndi is still the 'Unusual Girl' with the BIG voice. This dvd covers every big hit plus songs from her newest cd. I can't imagine her doing anything else in life, but singing and entertaining millions of people. She commands a room, as is evident here, and leaves you wanting more. A Must Have...
