 | This is one of my favorite 80's movie! Not only does it have the two infamous "Coreys" but the plot keeps me intrigued still to this day! |

 | Okay first of all, it's NOT a body-swap movie. Despite what you have heard, no one "switches" bodies. Corey Feldman's character Bobby's mind is left in a limbo-like dream world while Jason Robard's character Coleman inhabits his teenage body.
A "switch" would imply the youngster gets the old man's body, and we are (thankfully) spared that.
"Dream a Little Dream" is one of the oddest movies ever made. The director, Marc Rocco, is a certified genius for his use of atmosphere, musical cues, and strange scene transitions. The foley work is impeccable, and the sound editing sets the mood perfectly. The score and soundtrack are first-rate.
There are many funny moments, some metaphysics, and a real message about being young at heart. Dreams and dream imagery are utilized to create an ethereal "feel" to the film's plot.
Corey and Corey are fantastic, their best performance together. "Dream a Little Dream" is the kind of movie not everyone has seen, but almost everyone will enjoy.
I was 16 when this film was released (1989), and have loved it ever since. I've seen it 30+ times and it has never left my personal top 5. Buy it, watch it, then come back and give your opinion. I'm willing to bet you will be pleasantly surprised. |

 | One of my favorite films so defining of the 80's. A classic teen angst high school movie but with imagination. I think Corey Feldman & Corey Haim made a great team in this. This film makes you want to go back to the 80's. I was just going into high school at the time this release in theaters .Watching it nowadays I completely related to Corey Haims character Dinger. Dinger and Bobby are best friends Bobby falls for Lainie the hottest girl in school and has to convince her that she loves him before the night's over but here's the story in an accident Bobby switches his body with the old man next store living life thru his eyes and vice versus. The same thing with Lainie and the old man's wife. A romantic comedy with a twist. Pay attention to the characters and their bond. A great film about friendship & relationships in high school. An essential to collection for anyone who grew up in 80's cinema. I own the DVD and the soundtrack is great too. |
