Born in 1969, in Levallois-Perret (near Paris), Clotilde follows her family between Benin and Egypt. Then, she leaves the school in sixteen years and joins in Florent Courts (School of Dramatic art).

Very fast, she plays in several plays and asserts itself in " Lorenzaccio" in 1989. At the same time, to gain a little money, she makes small professions which will be of use to her in her actress's life: trainee hairdresser, cleaning lady...

In the cinema, the Americans notice it, after the exit of " The small Criminal " of Doillon ( 1990 ), which will be worth to her a price in Berlin. She participates in the film " The Pickle ", unpublished in France, and stays in the USA for eight months, for a theatre tour with John Malkovitch.

The roles are then linked: "Polski Crash" in Germany, "half-blood's Heart", of Vincent Ward with Anne Parillaud (in English), " The innkeeper's Bait ", " Tom is alone " with Florent Pagny, and "Elisa", with Vanessa Paradis, who reveals her in the general public, so she gives evidence of a natural talent.

Obtaining only a better supporting role for this film, she catches with "Fred", "Marthe" and " The Octopus " in the role of beautiful Cheryl.

Considered then as one of the best comediennes of her generation, Clotilde turns her own person in "Offside", then, in England, a black comedy " Milk " and in the USA " Deterrence ", Rod Lurie's film, unpublished in France.

Year 2000 remains intense. "Opposite" of Mathias Ledoux where a neighbour persecutes her.

" The bracket enchanted " which shows her to live the revolution of the customs.

Two thrillers: Olivier Megaton's " Exit ", and " Let us walk in wood ".

2002 will also be one year of success for Clotilde with five films to the poster, of which " The Mental " which transforms her into Gypsy, lover of the central figure.

Today accomplished comedienne, in the cinema as in the theater, always young of aspect, endowed with a healthy laughter, assuming in the beginning of the maturity, Clotilde walks her feminine person sometimes derisive, sometimes serious, sometimes enticing, sometimes reserved, with the talent behind, to last.

He misses a first role where we would see only she for 90 minutes, allying the dramatic qualities of "Fred" and comic actor of " New Jean-Claude ".
