Summary"Always with the negative waves, Moriarty! Always with the negative waves!"
Content
A World War II comedy? You bet. And it works! Clint Eastwood, Don Rickles, Telly Savalas, Carroll O'Connor, Gavin McLeod from "The Love Boat," Donald Sutherland. How can you go wrong? Set in the last days of the war in Europe, Clint finds out about a stash $16 million in gold hid behind enemy lines. He enlists the aid of a group of military misfits and ne'er-do-wells to help him get the gold. Don Rickles is Crap Game, the mastermind who cuts the deal. Telly is Big Joe, who gets pulled into the scheme against his better judgement. Donald Sutherland is Odd Ball, a Hippie tanker with a maverick tank squad. Perhaps the single best scene is the one with Telly, Clint and Don, when they face down a Tiger tank in true Western fashion (replete with a Spaghetti Western theme). That alone is worth the price of the movie. This is one hell of a fun movie!

SummaryWe've Got an Army!!!
Content
Simply one of Clint Eastwood's best comedy roles starring as Kelly together with a great cast such as comedy genius Don Rickles as Crapgame and Donald Sutherland as Oddball. Telly Savalas' role as Big Joe could not have been more perfect where he actually sounded serious, but one could hear the humor in it. Probably the funniest role, overall, was that of Carroll O'Connor who played General Colt, and this was just two years prior to the beginning of "All in the Family" where he would later become known as Archie Bunker.

A great World War II spoof where Kelly would lead his platoon behind enemy lines in search of $16 million worth of gold bars stashed inside a bank by the Nazis in Claremont, heavily guarded by a German division and three tiger tanks that proved to be the roadblock for Kelly and his platoon as they try to make a deal with one of the Germans when they approach the tiger tank to the melody of any of the spaghetti westerns, whether it would be "The Good the Bad and the Ugly", "A Few Dollars More" or "Hang 'em High" (all of them starring Clint Eastwood), with the sounds of jingling spurs added.

A lot of action and a lot of humor, this is one film not worth missing, and one film that's worth seeing over and over again.
