Cindy Guyer is an American model and actress. She is most celebrated for becoming female romance novel cover model, specially “Nancy Drew” books. She also has graced the cover of numerous magazines. Guyer has acted in “Psycho Cop” (1989), “ Soldier's Fortune” (1991), “The Mirror Has Two Faces” (1996) and “Hit and Runway” (1999), among other films, as well as on the TV series “ First Time Out” and “ Martial Law.”
Guyer was engaged to the late Canadian actor Corey Haim (December 23, 1971 – March 10, 2010).
Childhood and Family:
Cindy Guyer was born in Stamford, Connecticut, in 1961.
Cindy Guyer has become a cover model for Nancy Drew romance novels, appearing on over 2000 book and magazine covers. She made her first screen appearance as neighbor in the 1988 film “Jack's Black,” directed and written by Rowdy Herrington. She went on to have a bit part in “Warm Joe Gayton's drama, “Summer Rain” (1989), starring Kelly Lynch, Barry Tubb and Ron Sloan. The same year, she also played the role of Julia in “Psycho Cop,” a film directed and written by Wallace Potts and starring Robert R. Shafer.
Guyer had a featured role in the direct to video “Cool Blue” (1990), was cast as Jennifer in the Arthur N. Mele direction action movie “Soldier's Fortune” (1991) and appeared as taxi stealer in the Academy Award nominated film “The Mirror Has Two Faces” (1996), which was directed by and starred Barbra Streisand. She also had a role in the film “Summer of Fun” (1997), directed by Ray Dennis Steckler. Guyer made her television debut with a guest spot in “First Time Out” (1995). She followed it up with an appearance in the episode “Lock-Up” (1998) of CBS' “Martial Law” (1998).
In 1999, Guyer appeared in two films. She first portrayed Cindy Flyer in the film “The Storytellers,” starring Tippi Hedren, Michael Worth and Mitzi Kapture, and then appeared as Model Hostage in “Hit and Runway,” a comedy/drama film directed and co-written by Christopher Livingston and starring Michael Parducci, Peter Jacobson and Judy Prescott.
In 2000, Guyer played the role of Mandy in the drama/thriller film “ The Perfect Nanny,” starring Tracy Nelson, Bruce Boxleitner and Dana Barron.
In 2005, Guyer produced the game-show/reality television series “Mr. Romance.” She also served as a presenter there.
