 | Awesome movie!!! One of the better ones that I have seen in recent times! The script was very well put together, and all actors delivered what has to be one of the best suspense movies of all time.
Prremise:
A Doctor and his family go on a little getaway vacation, soon after he is called away to a conference on a new drug. Meanwhile, life goes on as normal at the little cabin rented for the family for the weekend...but only for a little while. As Abby is completing an chore for her mother in the bathroom, someone comes in and takes her. And all comes undone in the minutes to follow.
Kevin Bacon's character and company devise a plan to hold these people hostage for at least 24 hours till ransom is paid, after the 24 hours, the family will be released safe and sound...but there is a twist, contact must be made between the kidnappers (3 of them....one holding the woman, one the kid, and oh yeah, one holding the doctor hundreds of miles away in the hotel he is speaking at for the conference. Without contact every 30 minutes, someone is going to die!
Twists and turns every minute, this moie definately keeps you guessing, and on the edge of your seat! |

 | I enjoyed TRAPPED. It was a nice suspenseful movie. It's about a gang of kidnappers who kidnap children from wealthy families and keep them for 24 hours. Their plan is foolproof. Or is it? Of course it wasn't completely logical. Yes her parents should have just followed the orders that the kidnappers gave them, but then there would be no conflict in the movie. The movie stars Charlize Theron, Courtney Love, Stuart Townstead and Kevin Bacon. I enjoyed it! |

 | I have a huge problem with the ending. Now I know parents love their kids, but with such overacting throughout trapped, and the constant "trying to be the hero" comes off as being stupid. In that type of situation most parents would be so scared about what could happen to the child if they don't cooperate, instead charlize theron and her husband end up putting their daughters life in even more danger more and more as they try to take control of the situation. The ending was absolutely ludacrous!! First of all, landing your plane on a highway in front of the car carrying your child, and causing a 10 car crash including a semi holding logs. Gee doesn't that sound a little bit of a dumb idea! What if he killed his daughter in the process or others, and he almost did when the truck carrying his kid spun out of control and crashed. In real life everyone would have died probably. And there WAS a dirt area beside the freeway if he wanted to land. Hollywood screen writers come off as being demented when they write this stuff, as if it's cool to be a moron. And then it was in slow motion as the dad ran from the explosion. The explosion that HE caused. And then they are worried about her asthma. How about worrying that he may have killed her in the car crash. What a weird ending. |

 | This is all in all a good movie but as the mother of a little girl I found this movie to be very disturbing and heartwrenching. I cried ALOT!! I loved Charlize Theron's character in the movi however, it could have survived without Courtney Love! |
