Career:

Celine Balitran was studying law in Paris when she met George Clooney in 1996, when he shot  “The Peacemaker” in Paris. A few months later, she followed him to Los Angeles. She said, “We wake up in each other's arms, and we can't wait for evening to be together again.”

Balitran and Clooney broke up in 1999. In an interview with the men's magazine “Esquire,” the handsome actor blamed their separation on his fear of intimacy. He declared “She lasted as long as I think she was going to last.”

Although Balitran and Clooney separated amicably, the French beauty became angry when Clooney decided to date her best friend, Jennifer Siebel, in 2002.

Balitran became the first of Clooney's girlfriend to gain popularity by affiliation, succeeded by  Sarah Larson, Lisa Snowden and Krista Allen. After the break up, she continued to star in a reality show in French called “La Ferme Celebrites” (2004), in which she became the 6th contestant to be evicted from the show. More television appearances ensued, such as the talk shows “Tout le monde en parle,” “On a tout essayé,” “Le grand journal de Canal+” and “Les enfants de la télé” (all 2004). She also appeared in the TV series documentaries “Les hyènes” and “Au secours... ils reviennent!” (both 2004).
