Childhood and Family:

Casey Keegan was born Casey Alan Heying on June 12, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. His father, Larry Heying, is a voice over actor originally from Nebraska, while his Columbian mother, Lana, is a hairdresser. He has an older brother named Andrew Keegan (born January 29, 1979), who is an actor and producer.

In 1993, Casey Keegan landed a part in the television miniseries “Rhythm & Jam,” which was nominated for the Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Achievement in Graphics and Title Design and Outstanding Children's Special. It was directed and co-written by George Daugherty and starred Maria Alfonso, Tony Austin and Rhona Bennett.

Many years later, Keegan landed an uncredited part as boy band member in the film “Crossroads” (2002), starring recording artist Britney Spears and directed by Tamra Davis. The coming of age drama, which also featured Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning, was panned by many critics, and was nominated for eight Razzie Awards, including Worst Picture and Worst Director, and two wins for Worst Actress for Spears and Worst Original Song for the song “I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman.” “Crossroads” grossed $61,141,030 at the box office against a budget of $12 million.
