SummaryConfusing but lovable
Content
At first i wasn't entirely sure on the film as i began to watch it, but throughout the course of the film i found myself really liking it, Ewan and Cameron were terrific in their roles as the unmatched (but really meant to be together pair). They were sparkling! I loved the angels with guns concept and how the angels fell apart throughout the movie- well what else could they do!! At least the film didn't kid you with it's outcome, though it threw a few neat twists along the way with a smattering of humour to keep it lively. A great, slightly surreal, film!

SummaryOffbeat and Edgy
Content
This movie has some of my favorite one-liners and the final dialogue between the Cameron and Ewan characters cannot be missed. I'll admit the first time I saw this I was scratching my head. There were angels and assassins and hitmen...wtf was going on???

Once you get into the human story and Robert and Celine become 3 dimensional suddenly they become the heart of the movie and everything that is going on around them, wacky and messed up as it is, is secondary to what is going on between them. You can't help but root for the hapless Robert who's brain-dead scheme never had a chance and Celine does the impossible; she makes us like the spoiled little rich girl.

There are those moments in a movie where you are just aching to reach into the screen and drag the 2 characters together because you know that's where they belong and eventually we find out what all the contrived "angels" are up to and it comes together.

This is one of those movies where characters break out into song and dance scenes for no apparent reason and you're on an emotional rollercoaster never knowing but always hoping and c'mon! Who better to play these parts?

I would add A life Less Ordinary as an essential to my comedic yet almost heartbreaking romance collections along with 10 Things I hate About You. Just for an older but just as stupidly love-struck crowd.

And remember ladies. "They only want one thing. They may want it more than once, but it's still only just one thing." ;-)

SummarySomehow It Works
Content
When thinking about my review, I was trying to come up with why I love this movie so much and can't really. The acting is wonderful, I suppose that's the main reason. However, the storyline doesn't really do much for me. It was definitely less ordinary, but there was just something lacking. However, the humor and acting do make up for it, and I would definitely recommend you see this.

Ewan McGregor is simply wonderful as Robert, a somewhat confused guy just trying to hold down a life. After being dumped by his girlfriend and fired from his job as a janitor (to be replaced by robots) all in the same day, he's had enough and decides to take matters into his own hands. Soon he is in the head of the company's office, threatening him. But, as luck would have it, the boss' daughter was there meeting with him. This eventually turns into Celine (Cameron Diaz) being kidnapped and taken to a remote cabin. All sounds wonderful: except for the fact that Robert has no idea what he's doing. As I said before, Ewan does a superb job of playing such an unprepared, clueless character. While I'm not much of a Cameron fan, I will admit she was perfect for the part of the non-feeling spoiled brat. Overall, they save this movie. Make sure to check it out soon!
