Playmate of the Year
Sara Jean Underwood is an American model and actress. She is famous for
being the Playmate of the Month for the July 2006 issue of Playboy
magazine and then Playmate of the Year in 2007. She was a host on G4's
“Attack of the Show!” (2010-2013). Underwood's film credits
include “Epic Movie” (2007), “Two Million Stupid
Women” (2009) and “Zellwood” (2013).
Underwood had a two year on-again, off-again relationship with
“American Idol” presenter Ryan Seacrest.
Childhood and Family:
Sara Jean Underwood was born on March 26, 1984, in Portland, Oregon.
She played volleyball on her junior high school. In 2002, Sara
graduated from Scappoose High School in Scappoose, Oregon. She
then took Business Marketing major at Oregon State University. Sara
also has been a student at Portland State University.
Sara Jean Underwood first landed as an assistant in sales of heavy
construction equipment. She then worked as a waitress in Beaverton,
Oregon branch of the Hooters chain of restaurants. Her modeling career
began in 2005 when she appeared in Playboy in its “Girls of the
Pac-10” pictorial in the October Issues. She also graced the
cover of the famous men's magazine. She again appeared in the magazine
as Playboy Playmate of the Month in July 2006. On May 3, 2007,
Underwood was named Playmate of the Year 2007. Her prize at the time
included a Mini Cooper convertible. Underwood was ranked No. 25 on the
Playboy list of “25 Hottest Playboy Celebrities of 2008.”
Underwood has been featured in numerous Playboy videos, and has made
self appearances in the films “ The House Bunny” (2008) and
“Miss March” (2009). Additionally, she has appeared in
episodes of television reality shows like “The Girls Next
Door” (from 2005 to 2009), “Kendra” (2009) and
“Bridget's Sexiest Beaches” (2009). Underwood co-hosted the
live television program on G4, called “Attack of the Show”
from 2010 to 2013, and was a co-hostess of an infomercial for Kevin's
book “Debt Cures They Don't Want You to Know About” from
2008 to 2010. She has also worked on television as a continuity
announcer for the Blackbelt TV cable network.
Underwood had a role as Pirate Wench in “Epic Movie,” a
2007 successful parody film directed and written by Jason Friedberg and
Aaron Seltzer and produced by Paul Schiff. She went on to play the
roles of Ginger in the comedy film “Two Million Stupid
Women” (2009), which was directed by Jamie Neese, written by Amy
Heidish and starred by Sarah Hall, Katy Stoll and Mark R. Gerson, and
Tracey in the direct to video “The Telling” (2009), which
starred Holly Madison, Christina Rosenberg, and Nicole
Recently, Underwood starred as Katie in the horror film
“Zellwood,” which was released in Japan on August 9, 2013.
