Lucas Horton of Days


Italian and Irish American actor Bryan Dattilo is best known for his role as Lucas Horton on the daytime soap opera “Days of our Lives,” a role he played from 1993 to 2001, and from 2002 to 2010. He is set to reprise the role in February 2012. Dattilo has picked up a Soap Opera Digest Award and a Young Artist nomination for his performance.

Dattilo has been married twice. His first marriage to Jessica Denay (together from 1999 to 2001) produced one son, Gabe. Currently, he lives in North Hollywood with his wife Elizabeth Cameron, whom he married in July 2011, and son. Dattilo has been active in Autism charities and raising Autism awareness.


Childhood and Family:

Bryan Ronald Dattilo, whose nickname is Bry, was born on July 29, 1971, in Kankakee, Illinois, but soon moved to West Palm Beach, Florida after his parents divorced. He relocated to Los Angeles, California when he was 7 years old. Two years later, he started attending acting classes along with his older sister, actress Kristin Dattilo. He also has an older brother and three younger half sisters. In 1989, Bryan graduated from Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California. He spend two years at Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California before landing work in “Days of Our Lives.”

On August 21, 1999, Bryan was married to Jessica Denay. The couple welcomed a son, Gabriel (Gabe) Bryan Dattilo, on December 16, 1999 but divorced later in 2001. He married present wife Elizabeth Cameron on July 12, 2011.

Winter Heat


In 1986, Bryan Dattilo made his television acting debut in an episode of “Crazy Like a Fox” called “ Fox at the Races,” where he had a small part as little boy. Three years later, he landed the role of Jeff in “Room at the Bottom” (1989), an episode of “Charles in Charge.” Dattilo continued to appear in episodes of “In the Heat of the Night” (1991, as Boyd Gardner), “Doogie Howser, M.D.” (1992, as Charlie Morris) and “California Dreams” (1992, Ted).

Dattilo o's big break arrived in 1993 when he won the role of Lucas Horton on the NBC daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” He remained with the role until 2001 and later played the role again from 2002 to 2010. For his performance, Dattilo was nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category of Best Performance by a Youth Actor in a Daytime Series in 1995. He received a Soap Opera Digest nomination for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor in 2000. In 2005, he won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Favorite New Couple, an award he shared with Alison Sweeney.

During his stint on “Days Of Our Lives,” Dattilo also worked on other projects. He portrayed Greg in the direct to video “ Arcade” (1993), opposite Megan Ward, Peter Billingsley and John de Lancie, and offered a memorable turn as Lucas Roberts in the made for television film “Winter Heat” (1994), opposite Jaime Lyn Bauer, Jason Brooks and Christie Clark. Later, in 2002, he played Brian Ellison on the romance film “Fits and Starts,” starring Pat Skipper, Holland Taylor and Linden Ashby. The same year, he also starred in the short “Gaydar,” which was directed and co-written by Larry LaFond. In 2006, the actor guest starred as Lucas Garlobo in an episode of “CSI: NY” called “ Cool Hunter.”

It was confirmed that Dattilo would return in February 2012, as part of the “Days Of Our Lives” re-boot.
