 | Great movie, it starts with two teenage girls, katie and becca, talking about a tape that kills anyone who watches it in seven days. Until katie confesses that she saw the tape a week ago. Of course, she dies.
A while later at the funeral, Rachel learns about four other teenagers who died the exact same time as katie, all of them had watched the same tape.
So rachel goes to shelter mountain inn, were katie and her friends were staying, she comes across an unmarked video tape and watches it, it portrays disturbing images, like a nail going through a finger, and dead horses on a beach, when its over the phone rings, and a creepy voice says "seven days"
Now rachel only has a week to figure out how to live, but while watching the tape again she learns about Anna Morgan, a horse breeder who died of suicide. Rachel is determined to find out why Anna killed herself, and even travels to the morgan ranch to speak to her husband, Richard Morgan.
While reading the newspaper, she finds out the Anna Morgan in fact has a daughter, but when she asks richard, is only response is "I have no daughter"
Meanwhile, Rachel's son, Aidan, as been drawing strange pictures, When rachel calls him to ask him, he says "because she told me to" but who is she?
Still desperate for answers, Rachel goes to the Morgans family doctor, who tells her the anna suffered for hallucations, and they only happened when she was near her daughter, Samara.
A while later rachels travels back to the morgan ranch, were she watches a tape of Samara in the hospital. She doesn't see the ending though, because richard stops her, right before he kills himself.
now rachel and noah (her ex husband) go up to the barn where richard kept Samara so she couldn't hurt anyone. While there, they discover a strange tree burnt in to the walls, Rachel soon learns that its excatly the tree at shelter mountain inn. So they travel there. Soon, they find the well the Samara died in. Rachel falls in herself and has visions of Anna suffocating Samara and pushing her down the well. Rachel finds Samara'a body.
Now you might think that the movie would end there, but it doesn't and i'm not telling you how it ends.
Theres just one thing about the movie, the only thing that really scared me was katie's face in the closet, not because the way it looked, but because it was so unexpected. Samara's face at the end was probably the least scariest thing in the whole movie.

| This movie was scary, but really it's so unreal. Who's ever really heard of if you "Watch this tape" then in ten days or whatever you're going to die? That's so ridicholous. When I first saw this movie I had to watch the rest of it just to see what would happen at the end, and I was just thinking I was so glad I rented this. Overall I don't think it's the best suspense/horror film out there. There are some parts in there that will make you a little scared but really it's not the best movie. Rent it if you want to see it. |

| I REMEMBER I WAS WATCHING THE RING AND SUDDENLY MY DOORBELL RANG, I PUT THE DVD ON PAUSE. IT WAS MY BEST FRIEND AND HER DAUGHTER AT THE DOOR. SO, I TOLD THEM TO JOIN ME AND WATCH THIS MOVIE. WHILE WE WERE WATCHING THIS MOVIE, MY FRIENDS DAUGHTER DID HER HAIR LIKE THAT LITTLE GIRL IN THE MOVIE AND SAT BESIDE US. SO, ME AND MY FRIEND WERE ASKING HER TO PASS THE POPCORN. WE LOOKED OVER AT HER AND SHE SCARED SOMETHING TERRIBLE OUT OF US. THAT'S WHEN YOU KNOW YOU ARE WATCHING A GOOD MOVIE, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO ANYONE. | After I was done watching this movie, I went around to all of my friends at school, asking them if they had seen The Ring. I would even ask people who I hardly KNEW if they had seen it! Even after seeing this MANY times, it would still give me goosebumps if I watched it again. The movie is about a reporter, who suddenly is interested in a case of two teenagers being killed at the same time on the same night. She soon finds out that the teens watched an sick and twisted VIDEO tape and died seven days later. Racheal, the reporter, ends up watching the movie herself and struggles for the answers before her time is up. After watching it, I was unable to sleep for weeks. this is truly a thriller! A MUST buy! |

| Who couldn't love this movie??? It's very exciting and scary and a little mysterious. Now, this is the story of a reporter, Rachel, who recently lost her niece, who's heart had stopped immediatly, even though she was a healthy teen. When the parents came home they found her, in the closet of her room, her face very mangled. So, Rachel is on the case of finding the video her niece was to believed to have watched, and the video that killed her. While unraveling this horrific mystery, Rachel learns of the Morgans. She learns of Samara, a strange girl who used to put horrible images in people's minds.
I'd like to ask you again, who couldn't love this movie???
