 | Pooh's Heffalump movie is a terrific film. The animation is stellar, and my kids just love Lumpy, the Heffalump. The picture did seem a bit short on running time, but was sweet and valuable in teaching about prejudice and equality. Very well done! Roo is my youngest child's favorite. I must say that it's one film that your family will want to see over and over again! |

 | As I write this, my two kids and I are sick and I searched the video store for an appropriate video for my almost 3 year old and almost 5 year old. I got this on a recommendation of a friend with similarly aged children. My kids are not big Winnie the Pooh fans, but I hoped that this short movie would hold their attention. And, it did. My 5 year old was transfixed and my 3 year old even liked it through her fever. From an adult's point of view, I found the movie quietly pleasing although I have to admit I did not follow it closely. The music was nice, Carly Simon's songs were great, although some reviewers (on a different site) found them treacly. There was nothing scary in the film which is a big plus. The movie's pace and volume are to be commended too - nothing too loud, and no fast, seizure-inducing animation that is found in so many kids' programming. No pop culture references or humor for adults that is present in so many Disney films either. If there were embedded messages of tolerance and anti-xenophobia, fine. I didn't find them sneaky or too much. Probably went right over my kids' heads anyway. And by the way, Lumpy's voice is just adorable! I think this movie is just right for little kids. |

 | This is a wonderful movie..my two year old Grandlady loves this movie..We have rented it on pay per view..twice. she is transfixed with little Roo and Lumpy ..dances and sings to the music..Great. I raced over here to buy it for her..and it only comes in V.H.S. and Wide SCREEN DVD.
Why? We all no longer use video..VHS..and we do not have WIDE SCREEN capable televisions..
As I said..I am a grandmother and have purchased and sent back WIDE SCREEN .. Now what...great little kiddos movie..sad little gramma..................Tearful in Tennessee |

 | I purchased this movie not thinking that it would be such a wonderful form of entertainment for my daughter as it turned out to be! She's only 18 months, and she can't sit through ANY other movie-yet, she watches this one FROM BEGINNING TO END! She constantly asks for it and when I tell her I'll play it for her, the biggest smile come on her face! Lumpy, the heffalump is absolutely the cutest (and her favorite) and I can't wait to purchase more of the movies with the new heffalump addition! |
