Summary0.5 STARS: This is not a horror movie..it's a joke!
Content
The Tales from The Crypt...I'm sure you all remember the show and some of them few and far between were actually pretty decent, but when the Crypt Keeper decided to move up to the movie making side of the horror genre, someone should have told him not to quit his day job. This silly joke of a movie is just that a joke. "Demon Knight" is not scary at all and while there are some good actors like Billy Zane and others, the movie just fails to deliver any horror whatsoever. Believe it or not, "Demon Knight" is a classic compared to "Bordello of Blood" which is just a piece of raw sewage.

As I've said before, it's one thing to be gorey and have blood and special effects stuff all over the place and all of the time, but without a substance to the plot, all of this blood and gore signifies nothing and fails to produce any kind of horror whatsoever. The plot is weak and it's like the movie doesn't even try to be scary or horrorfying in any way, but the movie seems to be of the character and nature of strictly "camp" humor with a lot of blood/gore and special effects and that just doesn't cut it as far as I'm concerned. All blood and gore and lame comedy makes this horror movie fan a dull boy.

SummaryClassic tale by the Cryptkeeper himself!
Content
I was 12 years old when this movie came out and I knew I had to see it. I've been a fan of Tales From The Crypt since I was 8 (Yes, 8!). My parents would be sleeping while I'd watched it on HBO.

The movie itself starts out great, not knowing who is who if you never saw the previews. The whole twist comes when they're locked in the only central scenario which is this old creepin lookin motel which is perfect and suitable for the movie. The whole plot is excellent written and the cast is also unforgetable. Billy Zane does a great job playing his character, making this one of his best work till date.

SummaryTHE BEST HORROR/COMEDY OF THE 90s
Content
Demon Knight is the best horror-comedy of the 1990s it features good acting, good special effects, and a good cast. The plot deals with a man named Brayker running from the Collector who wants a key filled with blood to rule the earth but Brayker hides in a motel filled with individuals and then the collector shows up kills a cop and then releases demons after cutting his hand releasing green blood and then the demons start killing people and also possessing them. This excellent movie features good effects(Heads being ripped off, arms being torn off) and the soundtrack has good songs. Demon Knight should be in everyone's horror collection though the VHS is hard to find the DVD version by itself or the 2 pack DVD(Bordello of Blood is the 2nd disc).Buy the Dvd version if you like Demon Knight but avoid Bordello of Blood unless your a fan of both movies.

SummaryI Thought It Was Laughable But...
Content
A cool strong woman in Jada Pinkett Smith. A horror show that tackles religious themes. William Sadler (for me, that's a done deal) as the hero. And Billy Zane (wow) as the villain. I liked him more as this scenery-chewing monster than as Cal Hockley in Titanic.

SummaryBilly Zane is Demonically Wonderful
Content
This is the first Tales From the Crypt movie and is set up like a television episode complete with standard title sequences. After a short intro, the main story is introduced.

Demons have been trying to take back the universe ever since they were driven back by the creation of light. All they need to succeed is one last key. That key is on Earth. This film is the story of one of the battles to control the key.

Billy Zane is excellent as the demonic searcher. On the side of good we have a good cast of characters that are holed up in a small hotel. They must fight themselves as well as demons as they each are tempted to simply give in and let the demons win. In the end the battle is over but the war still goes on.

The story uses an interesting premise and handles it consistently. While there is some gore and nudity, it is merely incidental to the story and not the reason for it. All in all a very entertaining film with some excellent acting on the part of Zane. Check it out.
