Background:

“I think growing up in LA made me aware of how difficult it is to be successful as an actor. It’s been both positive and negative having that awareness.” Ayda Field

First coming to the attention of public in the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” (2000-2001), American actress Ayda Field has since switched gears to comedy. She had regular roles in the short lived sitcoms “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” (2006-2007, as Jeannie Whatley) and “Back to You” (2007-2008, as Montana Diaz Herrera), not to mention performances in the sketch comedy series “Blue Collar TV” (2004) and in an episode of “Will & Grace.” In additions, she appeared in a small role in the comedy film “Strange Wilderness” (2008).

Field currently resides in Beverly Hills, California. She can speak English, Turkish, French and Italian. Field is in a relationship with British singer Robbie Williams.

Career:

Ayda Field made her television acting debut in the NBC long running soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” where she played Angela Moroni from 2000 to 2001. She hit the big screen in 2001 when she landed a bit part in the U.K./France production “Young Blades,” directed by Mario Andreacchio and starring Hugh Dancy, Callum Blue, Ben Cross and Sarah-Jane Potts. The same year, she also guest starred as Kim in an episode of The WB's short lived comedy series “Men, Women & Dogs” called “A Bone of Contention.”

In 2004, Field graduated to prime time when she became a regular on the Jeff Foxworthy-Bill Engvall-Larry the Cable Guy sketch comedy series “Blue Collar TV.” She went on to appear in episodes of the sitcoms “Eve” (2005) and “Will & Grace” (2006) before landing the regular role of Jeannie Whatley in the failed comedy/drama series “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” (NBC, 2006-2007), created by Aaron Sorkin. Among the main cast were Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, Bradley Whitford and Steven Weber.

In 2007, Field found herself joining the cast of a sitcom pilot, “Making It Legal,” playing attorney Elise. ABC did not pick up the pilot. The actress soon rebounded when she won the regular role of Latina weatherwoman Montana Diaz Herrera in the Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan-created situation comedy “Back to You,” which debuted on Fox on September 19, 2007. She was fired in episode 13 shortly before the show was canceled. The show's main cast included Kelsey Grammer, Patricia Heaton, Laura Marano, Lily Jackson, Josh Gad, Ty Burrell, and Fred Willard.

2008 saw Field play the female lead Audrey in the comedy pilot “Fourplay,” opposite Alan Tudyk. She also took a small role of a mountain nurse in the comedy film “Strange Wilderness,” which was helmed by Fred Wolf, produced by Adam Sandler and starred by Steve Zahn and Allen Covert. Recently, she appeared as Marissa in the direct to video “Play Dead” (2009), directed by Jason Wiles. The action/comedy starred Chris Klein, Fred Durst, Jake Busey and Michael Beach.
