SummaryNot Worth Seeing
Content
I spent two dollars to see this movie, and I regret it. It was a waste of money and a BIG waste of time.

This movie is one of those deals where you're supposed to laugh at some guys who can make ugly facial expressions. The plot is goofy and worthless. If you want to see a stupid movie that's actually good, watch Dumb and Dumber instead. It beats the heck out of this.

I don't intend for this review to be helpful. I just want to tell everyone to stay away from this. Slap Hollywood's hand and tell them, "NO!"

Summary'Dude,Where's My Car?'(20th Century Fox)Running time:83 min.
Content
Review no.250.I give it 3 1/2 stars.I encourage you to ignore all the negative reviews you might've seen on this movie. It's basically a good stoner movie and if you liked 'Bill&Ted's Excellent Adventure' or 'Road Trip',you should get several repeated enjoyable viewings out of this DVD.Starts out with two stoners Chester(Seann William Scott)and Jesse(That '70's Show's Ashton Kutcher)who awake from a long night of heavy partying that either one can seem to remember.Their girl friends throw them out and that's where the fun begins. The two pot heads have run-ins with several 'alien' visitors that want to get their hands on this 'continuum...'(something or another)gadget that will apparently destroy the entire universe UNLESS it's located by a certain time.I know, the plot isn't the best, but it's the numerous comedy moments in this flick that drew me in.Take, for example the tattoo scene and the scene the blind kid is trying to associate with those alien vixens.A total laugh riot.

SummaryI Did Like the "Alien Jumpsuit Chicks"
Content
I liked the "Alien Jumpsuit Chicks" and wish they had been the main focus of this project. Instead we get "Stiffler" (without his mom) and that "Punk'd" guy trying to do comedy. Now "Stiffler" is simply incapable of being funny, but he can be entertaining (when playing "Stiffler") because he is so irritating. Unfortunately in "Dude" his character is not "Stiffler". The "Punk'd' guy is not funny but he is somewhat entertaining because you wonder how someone who should be working at the Topeka Dairy Queen is getting paid for this kind of stuff.

Anyway the movie is incredibly stupid, but it is supposed to be incredibly stupid, and it is intended for a target audience of the incredibly stupid; maybe even less intelligent and discriminating than the folks P.T. Barnum was referring to when he said nobody went broke "underestimating" the intelligence of the American people. Its simple of mind target audience was illustrated at my local Blockbuster where the resident drones and wigger girls were laughing and snorting like pigs as they recounted their favorite scenes.

For me the biggest laugh came from watching a then unknown Jennifer Garner (who was pushing 30-born April-1972) trying to play the uptight "teenage" girlfriend and keep up with Lisa Sokoloff (born Dec-1980 and the only cast member who is actually an acting talent-and she has a lot of acting talent) playing the other uptight teenage girlfriend. Seeing their talent disparity in light of their recent respective career paths was a graphic illustration of the entertainment anti-meritocracy. Although finding Kristy (Dec-1969) Swanson back playing teenage bit parts was some consolation.

SummaryActing That Demands A Reaction
Content
Somewhere, at some time in the past, someone suggested, coached or inspired Ashton Kutcher to pursue an acting career. That person should be located, brought out into the public square... and flogged....One star for sympathy for those who endured this drivel....
