American actress Ashley Greene is most popular for her role as Alice Cullen on the film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's “Twilight” novels. She picked up the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Fresh Face Female for “Twilight” (2008), the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Movie: Female Scene Stealer for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” (2009), “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” (2010) and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1” (2011) and a Razzie nomination for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2” (2012). Other films she has acted in include “Summer's Blood” (2009), “Skateland” (2010), “A Warrior's Heart” (2011), “LOL” (2012) and “The Apparition”  (2012).

Ashley Michele Greene was born on February 21, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida. Her father,  Joe Greene, is a former U.S. Marine who now owns a concrete contractions business, while her mother, Michele, is an insurance broker. Along with her older brother, Joe, young Ashley took various activities, including taekwondo, and won several awards. She went on to take modeling classes as a way to improve her confidence before eventually considering it as a career. However, she was forced to see other profession because of her height. It was not until after she attended a commercial class that Ashley eventually found a knack on acting. After graduating from high school, she packed her staff and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. At the time, she was 17 years old.

Ashley Greene began with small parts in the television series “Punk'd” (2005), “Crossing Jordan” (2006) and “MADtv” (2006) before landing a seven episode role as Renata in the telenovela “Desire” (2006), starring Nate Haden, Zack Silva and Michelle Belegrin. She made her big screen debut in the 2007 comedy/drama “King of California”, starring Michael Douglas, Evan Rachel Wood and Willis Burks II.

Greene's big break arrived when she landed the role of Alice Cullen, the vampire with special ability is to see the future, on the romantic fantasy movie “Twilight” (2008), which is based on Stephenie Meyer's popular novel of the same name. The film enjoyed a huge commercial success by earning over $392 million against a budget of $37 million. The role brought her a 2009 Teen Choice for Choice Movie Fresh Face Female.

The same year, Greene had a small role in the direct to video comedy/horror “Otis”, starring Bostin Christopher, Ashley Johnson, Daniel Stern, Illeana Douglas, Kevin Pollak and Jere Burns. She also had an uncredited part in an episode of CBS' “Shark”.

Greene reprised her role as Alice in the 2009 sequel “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” as well as in 2010's “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”, in which she won a Teen Choice for Choice Movie: Female Scene Stealer, 2011's “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1” and 2012's “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1”. She received Teen Choices for Choice Movie: Female Scene Stealer for the first three films and was nominated for a Razzie in the category of Worst Supporting Actress for the latter.    

In the meantime, the 1.65 meters tall actress also took several other roles. She played Missy in “Shrink” (2009), an independent film helmed by Jonas Pate and starring Kevin Spacey, “Summer's Blood” (2009), starred as Summer Matthews in the Canadian horror film “Summer's Blood” (2009) and co-starred with Shiloh Fernandez, Brett Cullen and James LeGros in the drama film “Skateland” (2010). She also supported Alanis Morissette and Jonathan Scarfe in the film adaptation of Philip K. Dick's novel, “Radio Free Albemuth” (2010), appeared with Kellan Lutz, Adam Beach and Ridge Canipe in Michael F. Sears' “A Warrior's Heart” (2011) and joined Jennifer Garner, Ty Burrell, Olivia Wilde, Rob Corddry, Alicia Silverstone and Hugh Jackman in the ensemble comedy film “Butter” (2011), directed by Jim Field Smith. She starred opposite Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore in the coming of age comedy/drama “LOL” (2012) and was cast as Sebastian Stan's girlfriend in the supernatural thriller movie “The Apparition” (2012). On the small screen, Greene starred with Annabeth Gish and Emilie de Ravin in the made for TV film “ Americana” (2012). From 2011 to 2012, she portrayed Amanda Mason in the ABC period drama series “Pan Am” .

Greene has completed filming the drama film “CBGB”, which is set to be released on October 11, 2013. The film is directed and co-written by Randall Miller and will star Malin Akerman, Ryan Hurst and Stana Katic. She will star as Violet in the horror film “Random” (2013), opposite Haley Bennett and Lucas Till.   

Greene will appear with Kate Hudson, Jim Parsons and Joey King in the comedy/drama film “Wish I Was Here” (2014), directed and co-written by Zach Braff. She also will appear in the upcoming film “Staten Island Summer” (2014), with Katie Cockrell and Kellie Cockrell.     

“I really would love to do a piece like Julia Roberts or Charlize Theron in Erin Brockovich or North Country. They were both so amazing and so inspiring. I would love to touch someone in the way they're performances touched me. Obviously that will be when I play 30 and not 16 so I have time.” Ashley Greene (On roles she would like in the future)
