Background:

Alexia Fast is a two time Leo Award winning Canadian actress, thanks to her performances on the films “Past Tense” (2006, TV) and “Repeaters” (2010). She plays Callie Winter in the WGN America series “Manhattan” (2014-?). As a child, Fast attracted attention by writing, directing, and starring in the short film “The Red Bridge,” which premiered at the 2002 Atlantic and Reel to Reel Film Festivals.

Alexia Fast was born on September 12, 1992, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is the daughter of Cheryl-Lee Fast. She is bilingual in French and English.

In her free time, Alexia enjoys rock climbing, riding horses and caving.

Career:

7 year old Alexia Fast directed, wrote and starred in a short film called “The Red Bridge.”After obtaining her first agent, she landed her very first film role in the Lionsgate feature “Fido” (2006), opposite Carrie Anne Moss. The Canadian zombie movie premiered at Sundance and at the Toronto Film Festival on September 7, 2006. She also appeared in TV films like “His and Her Christmas” (2005), “Past Tense” (2006), in which she received a Leo in the category of Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Feature Length Drama for her role as Sara Shay, and “Firestorm: Last Stand at Yellowstone” (2006). She portrayed a nasty girl in the short film “Swimming Lessons” (2006).      

Fast then went on to appear on television on “Supernatural” (2006), “Masters of Horror” (2007), “The Party Never Stops: Diary of a Binge Drinker” (2007), “The 4400” (2006-2007, playing Lindsey Hammond), “Masters of Science Fiction” (2007), “Tin Man” (2007, playing Young Azkadellia), “Left Coast” (2008), “ Shoot Me Now” (2008), “Gym Teacher: The Movie” (2008) and “Flashpoint” (2009). She starred as Kristin on the short lived television series “Kaya,” which ran on MTV from October 22 to December 15, 2007. She also had roles on “Fakers” (2010), “The 19th Wife” (2010), “The 19th Wife” (2010), “The Cult” (2010), “FMA Weekly” (2011), “The Secret Circle” (2012), “Midnight Sun” (2012) and “Red Widow” (2013). Fast added her film credits with appearances on “Kickin' It Old Skool” (2007), “Paul Pontius” (Short, 2008), “Helen” (2009), in which she was nominated for a Leo for Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Feature Length Drama for playing Julie, Helen and Frank's daughter and David's stepdaughter, “What Goes Up” (2009), “Hungry Hills” (2009), “Repeaters” (2010), where she won a 2011 Leo for Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Feature Length Drama for her performance as Charlotte Halsted, “Triple Dog” (2010), “Last Kind Words” (2012), “Blackbird” (2012) and “Jack Reacher” (2012).

In 2014, Fast portrayed the role of Callie Winter, Frank and Liza's rebellious teenage daughter,  on the television series “Manhattan,” which premiered on the WGN America on July 27, 2014. The series was renewed for a second season in October 2014 and it is scheduled to premiere in 2015. She also appeared as Janine Boxton in an episode of “Motive” called “Dead End” (2014).   

Fast starred with Ryan Reynolds, Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson, Mireille Enos and Kevin Durand in the Canadian thriller movie “The Captive” (2014), directed by Atom Egoyan and co-written with David Fraser. She also played Grace/Mary in the horror/thriller film “Grace” (2014).
