 | I'm one of those people that just love cheesy chick flicks. And this movie is no exception. There were many times in the movie when I just couldn't help thinking, "What are the odds of that?" "That would never happen in real life." (Like when Steve sees Julie skateboarding in the red dress and suddenly decides that he likes her.) But movies like this are not meant to show real life. Funny, cheesy, unrealistic, happily-ever-after stories never hurt anyone. |

 | For one thing, I'm a boy watching this. I didn't want to watch it, but my sister watched it, and I decided to watch it to. Thinking that it was going to be like those ordinary teen flicks (Mean Girls, A Teen Cinderella Story) it wasn't. It was really funny and I enjoyed the movie.
It's about a girl named Julie, whose having a sleepover,
inviting her friends to come over. She's celebrating it because one of her friends, Hannah is moving away.
I hate that ending of the movie. It was too damn sad and I even saw my sister crying.
It's funny and you should watch it. |

 | At first I thought this movie may seem like a very cute movie to watch, but then as we got further into it, I found that the movie asked me to suspend my disbelief too much.
To start off, when Stacy goes to exit the girls room she climbs over the trelis, if the viewer notices the trelis doesn't move when Stacy steps on it, but when the girls step on it, it becomes the most unstable force in the entire world. It shakes it breaks, and then lies in shambles throughout the rest of the movie with no clear indication on why it happened.
Then while on the scavenger hunt, the director failed to show Stacy and her pose getting the sticker from the PatrolTech car but then suddenly when they meet back at the high school, oh look, Stacy's group has a PatrolTech sticker.
Then at the very end as the girls try to sneak back into the house, a tree fort comes crashing into the house. The thing is, that later on, Julie's crush shows up in the same fort. Julie couldn't climb in through the fort when it feel but somehow her crush did. How did that happen?
Then as if that isn't enough to top the movie off, at the end, we find out that Julie's best friend is moving. No prior mention of this, just a "I have to go home and pack" "So you're really moving" exchange.
The movie is just confusing to older viewers and asks the reader to suspend their disbelief too much. |

 | I watched this two nights ago and it is a really good movie. It made me laugh a lot! I didn't expect this to be good (in fact, I was thinking 'ugh, NOT another teenage chick flick') but it WAS reeeeally funny. I agree with the first reviewer on here--it did remind me a bit of Mean Girls but a little younger. So if you want a chick flick that will make you laugh, this is the one! |
