Since making his debut in 1992's “Radio Flyer,” actor Abraham Verduzco has worked in several  films such as “American Me” (1992), “Double Deception” (1993, TV), “Untamed Love” (1994, TV), “New Eden” (1994, TV), “Desperado” (1995), “Solo” (1996), “Break Up” (1998) and “Michael Jordan: An American Hero” (1999, TV). He has made guest appearances in popular television shows like “ER,” “Baywatch” and “Walker, Texas Ranger.”

Radio Flyer

Career:

Abraham Verduzco made his feature film acting debut as Carlos Hernandez in “Radio Flyer” (1992), a drama/fantasy movie directed by Richard Donner and starring Elijah Wood, Joseph Mazzello, Tom Hanks, Lorraine Bracco, Adam Baldwin, and Ben Johnson. He followed it up with a role as Paulito-age 7 on “American Me” (1992), a biographical crime/drama film directed and produced by and Edward James Olmos and starring Olmos as the film's protagonist, Montoya Santana.  

In 1993, Verduzco appeared as Jake in his first TV film, “Double Deception” (NBC), starring James Russo, Sally Kirkland and Luis Guzmán. He went on to appear in the Lifetime TV film “Untamed Love” (1994), opposite Cathy Lee Crosby, John Getz and Gary Frank, and the Sci Fi Channel movie “New Eden” (1994), starring Stephen Baldwin, Lisa Bonet and Tobin Bell. After guest starring in “ER” (1995),  Verduzco took on the role of Niño on the action/thriller film “Desperado” (1995), starring Antonio Banderas. Written and directed by Robert Rodriguez, the film grossed $25,405,445 in the U.S against a budget of $ 7 million. He then was cast as Miguel the Kid in the science fiction movie “Solo” (1996), starring Mario Van Peebles as the title role.

During 1996-1997, Verduzco made guest appearances in television shows like “Minor Adjustments” (as Curtis), “Baywatch” (as Juan) and “Team Knight Rider” (as Jesus). In 1998, he returned to the big screen with “Break Up,” a thriller film starring Bridget Fonda, Kiefer Sutherland, and Steven Weber. He next had a featured role on the made for television film “Michael Jordan: An American Hero” (1999), starring Debbie Allen, Ernie Hudson and Robin Givens. Around this period, he also appeared in two episodes of “Walker, Texas Ranger,” playing Carlos Delgado and Jesus Rodriguez in the episodes “Test of Faith” (1998) and “Rise to the Occasion” (1999), respectively.
